Nice and Easy

Up at 4:30 to get ready for work. I wonder why my legs feel fatigued?

So after the workout I had yesterday I don't think I got enough sleep.  I woke up lethargic and managed to stay that way for most of the day! Good thing the boss was not around.  Days like today are the ones that make me wish I didn't have a physical job! Oh Well it pays the bills.

I'm not complaining I'm just tired. Todays run was one of the ones where I was just covering miles.

HOLY-MOLY Run!!!

This was one of those "What are you made of" days.  As soon as I started running I felt fabulous. So I decided to roll with  it. Went through the first mile at 6:40 then just started to hammer.  Miles 2 and 7 were the fastest: 5:50 & 5:55.  I cannot remember the last run I have had that felt this good.  I didn't investigate but this would have been close to my 10k PR minus the last .8.  My previous PR for this route was 47:08....I think I lowered that a bit!

This will definitely be the last hard day before White Rock.  I'm not feeling as good about Dallas as I was about Wichita.  I knew I was going to kill it here.  I know I can do it, I'm just not as confident this time around.  If I don't make my goal it won't be because of lack of training.  It will be because I don't have the testicular fortitude to make myself hurt....

So what do you think about my run today?  And to answer you question Lisa, yes I am. On the 15th of December!!

Nice and easy!

Wish mom would get up so that I could go run!!!

What a beautiful afternoon.  Cool and the sun is out!  After Tori got up she decided she needed to go to Wichita to look at wedding stuff.  So lucky me I'm home alone to sit around and do as little as I want!

Run was good.  After being a slacker this week I decided better log some more miles.

LSD Run

Ran with 5 other people.  All people from the tri club.  The guys I 'm going to Dallas with were also there.  This was a slow long run but it was good to run with other people.  It is always good to slow down a bit.  I guess from here on out it's taper time!!!

I actually drank coffee for the first time this morning.  It felt like I had an alcoholic buzz for awhile.  When I met the group to run I told them to watch out because I was on a caffeine high!!! Might have to use that to my advantage sometime...

WOW! Just 4 short days ago it was 70 degrees. Now there is snow on the ground!

Oh Yeah and LSU lost last night so tonights Mizzou v. Kansas game could very easily have national title hopes on the line

Thanksgiving Day Indulgence

Sport
  • Basketball
  • 1h 30m

After lunch settled alittle bit a bunch of us guys went to the school yard for a couple games of basketball.

At the in-laws house.  They live in a little bitty farming community in Western Kansas.  It took me about .75 mile to get out of town.

There is nothing like going out for a run in the middle of tilled wheat fields.  I think there was zero feet of elevation change.  It isn't very scenic but it makes for a neat run.  Strangely I actually like running out there.  Ran out 4 miles then when I came back by the school I ran a mile on the track.  Easy way to get in another mile.

Quick little run before heading to the future in-laws house.

Started out chilly but about a mile and a half in I started to warm up.  The wind is howling (20-30mph) out of the North! Actually had a lot of fun on this run I found myself goofing off abit and acting silly.  I can only imagine what people were thinking if they saw me in a silly moment!!!!
