Went to the sleep doc yesterday because I had been extremely exhausted since I had the BP. He seems to think I have either hypersomnia or narcolepsy.  Yea, I laughed when he said that, too. Both are similar to each other except their causes are different.  He said that some of the things that cause bell's palsy also are thought (I use this word because they don't seem to know too much about the causes of narcolepsy) to cause narcolepsy as well.  I'll have to read up on that.  So the only way to determine any of this is through a sleep study followed by what I call a nap study, but it's really called bla bla sleep latency bla bla.  Basically I sleep all night, wake up, eat, take a nap at 7:30, wander about for an hour and a half, take another 30 minute nap, etc... This goes on all day until 4:30.  My primary doc retested me for all the viral infections that I got tested for back in October when I got the BP and then some. He also ran a regular physical lab. I will get the results of them on Monday.

Just so everyone knows...not all narcoleptics just fall asleep whenever, which is what I thought and why I laughed initially when he told me this- lol.  I will post more as I know more but it seems the bell's palsy saga continues....dum dum dum

I'll have to switch the run and swim starting next week. There just isn't enough time to do both. Although, I did have more time than this today but some old man kept talking to me - wasting my time.

Had to get blood drawn today - boy am I a complete mess. However, I was MUCH better this time than when I went to the hospital with the Bell's Palsy.  The poor lady, though. She was like..."what's the best way for us to approach this?"  She felt bad for me. I just told her to do it and completely ignore my ridiculousness.  I will mention that she was one of the best I've ever experienced. Quick & painless - too bad that has nothing to do with my anxieties.
