Okay I lied.  I had to try running today. I was tracking a couple of people I knew running Boston today and with that being the ultimate goal this season I couldn't not go for a run today.  The good news is the legs felt alright. I'll take it easy this week before adding intensity back in

Decided to bail on the race today. The calves need a couple more days to come around. They have been sore like this twice before. After a marathon and after a half ironman and both times took around 10 days to get back to normal. I blame the hill

Didn't make it far - calves still tight

Well that attempt at a run didn't go so hot.  Had to turn it around early. Barring some miraculous recovery in the next two days the 10k may not happen. Or maybe I'll just help pace my sister. Either way it will be a game day decision

Calves are still disgruntled today so I'm taking the whole day.  I want to run but don't want to push it. Tomorrow hopefully.
