Debating whether or not to actually run the Drake half this weekend.  I feel I'm recovered, but want to be fresh for Capitol City the following weekend.  Based on how long recovery took after Hollywood, I'm a little nervous going back to back weekends.  Part of me wants to think it was just that massive hill, but I don't know for sure at this point.  I might just play it safe since I haven't registered yet.  Hmmmm....decisions, decisions

Well today was interesting.  Woke up this morning, looked around a bit and realized the sun coming in through the windows.  For someone who is normally up at 5 am this is not good.  I scrambled and made it into work by 7:15, instead of my usual 6.  My whole day was just off after that.  Turns out I had to stay late for a project anyway so that kinda worked out.  Had to bail on the planned swim though (I swear I was planning one, I swear).  Little yoga and called it a day.

I still wasn't quite sure if I could call myself recovered from the half mary two weeks ago, but that run pretty much confirmed it for me.  I took things pretty conservatively for the first five miles, then based on how good I felt I decided to open it up a bit for the rest of the run.  Finished with that good long run exhausted feeling but with minimal protestation from the calves.  The weather was great for running too.  50 and overcast.  No so good for the post-long run steak grilling, but I'll take it.
