Master's Class. It was a hard workout today!!

The run last night literally sucked!! First my legs felt 10 times heavier than normal and yeah, they hurt as well!! Those hills are really tearing my legs up. Then on top of that there was more traffic on the road last night than I have ever seen. I run through some nice neighborhoods with 4 way stops and you see some cars but last night was crazy!! I had to cross a couple of main roads and I bet one of them took me like 5 minutes.......I was actually getting cold!! Anyway it did not go well, I even debated not swimming this morning b/c of how bad my legs felt but this morning they were a little better and once I got them going, I was okay. I will be taking today off from running though.....and having a few beers tonight!!!

Time is estimated b/c I cut my watch off by accident at some point.

My legs were hurting on the hills last night. It was mentally tough to push through all of them. I think I have now built up enough strength so next week I plan to hit the track and try to increase my speed. We will see how it goes!! On schedule for tonight is a 10-12 mile run. My ankle has a little pull in it so hopefully it will hold up.

A bunch of us a doing the Charlotte marathon relay this weekend. Is anyone going up? I am going to do the 13.1 part of the relay and hope to run 3 more afterwards!! I have to be up at 4:00am though. I am a early riser but that is even early for me!!!

I just noticed that I surpassed last year's run total with the run last night!!! What is interesting is the time it took me to run the distances are very similar!! I am sure the courses are not the same though b/c this year I started doing most of my running in Winston where I did not last year.

Master's Class. I really need some motivation. The last couple of weeks have been tough at the pool. I hope he will film us soon or do some buckets and bungies to do something different. I know I should not be complaining. Look at these kids who swim 5-7 days a week and sometimes twice a day. They are crazy!!!

The first 5 miles of yesterday's run was great but the last three was really starting to get miserable. All the little aches from the race were starting to bug me but I finished. The pace was great!! The plan is to hit the hills again tonight and next week start with track!!!
