Supposed to be easy 1 hr ride. Tried hard to keep it easy. About 40 minutes into it, I had a flat. Took 45 minutes and two CO2 cartridges to change it right. Finished ride. Good learning experience on what not to do and what to do.

Hot run. Supposed to be easy-peasy but the heat made the heart rate higher than it should have been.

I just scored the foot pod to go along with my HR monitor on eBay for 1/2 of what it retails for. The auction ended at 7:30 am CDT and it did not have the usual close to the end of auction flurry of bids. Maybe too early in the morning for people? Is this something to take into account when buying/selling on ebay? The time of day.
What about day? Is it better to have an item listed ending on the weekend or the weekday? I'm not sure how much people look at ebay on the weekend. Do they look at ebay during the week more?
Things that make you go hmmm.

Trainer ride. Easy Peazy.
Training Effect 1.1
Another day off for me. I'm taking care of the little ones while the wife takes the older one to the eye doctor.
Just got a corporate email that due to our cyclic industry (semiconductor) being at a low point right now they've done the following:
1. release two field engineers in my region (not me, thankfully);
2. reduce all pay (hourly and salary) by 10% starting with the next pay period. Ouch!
3. change the auto allowance policy from X amount per month to submit the mileage report and they'll reimburse the minimum required by the IRS. Again, Ouch!
4. the rest don't really effect me.
I'm bumming right now. As the sole income earner this hurts. Now I'm weighing my short term (second job, cut way back on things) and long term options (job/industry change).

Includes some walking while I was trying to figure out my interval timers. First real run with my new HR monitor. I like it!
Trying to do laps while my girls played in the neighborhood pool.
I'm off the rest of the week taking care of doctor's appointments for my kids. Squeezing workouts in where I can.
Yummm. Rich, gooey, chocolatey, goodness. I was jonesing for some chocolate tonight and made double chocolate brownies with chocolate chips. They came out of the oven at 10 and I just had my first. Still nice and warm. Yummmm.

30 min easy peazy run with 4 min cooldown. Two of the kid came with me to the track to calibrate my footpod. They brought a plastic tube and we played relay. Wore 'em out!
