I drove the SavageMan bike course today. WOW! Stacy’s words were “that’s going to be F**KING hard“. Big descents and VERY technical. Westernport wall looks so intimidating I hope I got the right gearing. Yeah baby! hope you feel my pain tomorrow. My bib is #443.
Really, my big worry is the temp tomorrow morning 55 degrees at 9am and 65 degrees at noon. So the challenge is dressing correctly and just dressing in general. I never had to wear so much cloths in a tri.

Thanks ALL I’ll pass your condolences on to Stacy. When people pass away close to us she gets all weird like she next. She comes from a big family so it seems every year we are dealing with this.

8:45pm we just got home. WOW what a great day! I accomplished some of my goals. Finished under 5:45, Brick and I placed 2nd AG. Over all finish I don’t know yet but it was good. I had a great swim I was in 4th wave green caps and Stacy counted I was the 7th out from my wave. Bike awesome ride over 17.5+ MPH just about 3:10 on the bike. The wall was beyond awesome. I climbed it in a 38-27 with out sweet. The road is bad staying to the right is best line even that is real bad at the steepest. I powered over the cobbles, holes cracks and torn up asphalt to earn my brick. I hit a hole with so much power that my rear wheel started hopping; reapply power and the front end picked up a few inches. There I am 800 ft on a 31% grade popping a wheelie. Fun stuff. Run was good better than I thought. 3800 ft of climbing. Will post more later. Thanks everybody for the support, I appreciate it!
