Starting Over

50 and raining tomorrow in Warner Robbins- Fun marathon weather. Plan is to get through it uninjured. The point was to build a base and confidence to enter ironman training after recovering from a very long injury. But I guess you all want to see real tangible goals, so here it is
Goal 1a-Finish uninjured
1b- Sub 4:00
1c- PR (sub 3:57)
Now I had my taper forced a week early due to foot injury, so I am a little less in shape than I wanted to be, but I managed to get in 2- 20 milers and an 18 miler in December/November. My plan is to go out 8:15-8:30 and hang on as long as I can, fully knowing that fatigue will likely adjust my pace from miles 18- 26. That is the grey area that will dictate my finishing time.
So I will stay positive, enjoy the experience and do my best to have a good performance
