Pre-race routine:

Woke up at 3:30, couldn't go back to sleep. Left home at 7:15, drove 45 minutes to race site for 9:00 start. Ate oatmeal, bagel w/ cream cheese and coffee. Drank 12oz of Powerade 30 minutes before race.
Event warmup:

Light stretching, jog from truck to race start.

Comments:

Race course mile markers were not consistent. Leader on bicycle took a wrong turn and added 1K to the length. Everybody's personal times were off. Hard to gauge when to kick. Mileage and time shown have been adjusted for the 1K additional length.
What would you do differently?:

Not too much. Ran a very smooth, comfortable pace. Push harder for last mile.
Post race
Warm down:

None. Got a bottle of water, walked to truck and drove off to beat the traffic.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Inexperience. This was first 10K race. Ran a solid race, nonetheless.

Event comments:

Needs better course marking and a lot more porta-cans. 3 porta-cans for 600+ people ain't enough. The line was 50-60 people deep. (I found some bushes.)
