  • Lots of volunteers to help?Yes
  • Plenty of drink stations?Yes

  • Overall course based on my ability: Just right

  • Comments: Although the course was very flat and scenic, the crowds made it difficult to maintain a steady pace until the second half of the race. The pre and post traffic was horrible.

  • Comments: This race could stand to have more defined corrals or waves. You signed up for waves at registration but I still found myself passing lots of people and being passed by faster people for the first 5 miles.

  • Comments: My original goal was to run a 1:30, but after training sessions, my goal became a little more realistic and I wanted to do a sub 1:40. I ran almost close to that being sick, which means I'm sure I could do a 1:35. I just have to run more, and run faster. My garmin also said I ran 13.24 miles in 1:42, which means I was running a 7:45, and all my splits add up to a 7:45, so I'm wondering if the course is longer than what's it says, or I ran an extra tenth of a mile somewhere. I did run as hard as I could given the circumstances, so I'll take the 1:42. My initial goal coming in with all the sickness was just to run a 1:50.

  • Comments: I wasn't absolutely crazy about the course, but I've definitely run worse. The first 5 miles, looping through the streets and freeways was weird and the out-and-back stretch was pretty barren. It's a fast track with only a couple of moderate bridges. If you can deal with the 6 or so miles of concrete, you can run a good time.
