  • Comments: Awesome race. Plenty of nice volunteers, live music on the run and in transitions, good food afterwards. Since I am not from Austin I was a little concerned about navagating the bike course, but it was clearly marked and there were plenty of people to point you in the right direction. I can't wait till next year.

  • Comments: For an inaugural race, this race was incredibly well organized with a big turnout (695 finishers!) Adam calling out everyone's name super-enthusiastically when they were coming in, lots of crowd support, and volunteers. Couldn't have been happier. Jack & Adam must have some sort of voodoo too, because they managed to keep the rain away for the entire duration of the race!

  • Comments: All the Jack & Adams races are awesome post race treats, even for friends and family. The only downside I see is the lack of a medal. I don't know why, but I like the medals more than t-shirts. This is a great race and is a great addition to the local race scene. It's definately one to do every year. The Texas triathlon community is growing but I feel like I know so many people and continue to see them over and over again at races. It's that community that makes it all worth the effort and I truly enjoy seeing everyone at each race.

  • Comments: This event itself was a great race. The venue is fantastic and Jack & Adams (and their entire staff) did their usual great job! This was very difficult for me because I'm used to placing in my age group but there is one BIG lesson I learned. TRAINING AND TAPERING FOR YOUR A RACE IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING RIGHT NOW. IT WILL PAYOFF LATER! I may have felt like crap for this race but I'll be much better prepared for my A race.

  • Comments: Very well orgainized race, great for a first time event and post race was really nice... even though I didn't stay around long.... had to get home and help out the Mrs with the Kiddo's. Jack and Adams also does a fine job in their events. Definately will do it again. I think most of all what I liked about this race was it was a single distance race vs CapTex which is multi distance race and over crowded. I may skip captex and due this one instead next year.

  • Comments: This is my third triathlon and they have all been the Jack and Adams sponsoed ones that are part of the Texas Tri Series. J&A's really hosts a great race and the atmosphere is outstanding. This was the innagural Austin Triathlon and it was a great race. The weather turned out to be perfect, and the race was well organized and on time. The courses for all three sports were well thought out and really fun. The were a ton of volunteers that were friendly and did a great job, as is the norm for a J&A's race. The live music on the course and at the finish line was great, as were all the sponsor tents. Overall this was an awesome race and I would highly recommend it to anyone thinking of doing it next year, this will become a classic Austin race.

  • Comments: I was extremely happy with my performance. My goal was to finish in 3 hours and I beat that goal. The was a great race especially it being it's first year. I will definitely do this one again. The course was good, it started on time and it was well supported.

  • Comments: I really enjoyed this race. Without all of the thoughtful planning and the fabulous volunteers, this would have been easy to be a dud. Jack and Adams did a great job, the volunteers were enthusiastic and supportive, and the race was very well run. There were some really great athletes out there - a pretty competitive field! I'm looking forward to doing this again next year.

  • Comments: The organization for a first year race seemed wonderful. There were plenty of volunteers (bless each and every one of them) to move the masses in the right direction. It started on time and the course was well thought out. This should be a classic race in the following years and should not be missed if you are near Austin.
