  • Comments: There are a ton of great volunteers at this race, and Sun Multisport does a great job with the organization. My only criticism was that the mile 5 water stop wasn't ready for me. I called out for water ahead of time, got to the table, and all the volunteers were just staring at empty cups. I wasn't sure how long things would take, So, I just continued on and hit the mile 6 stop instead. It was just a small damper on an otherwise great event.

  • Comments: This was a very well put on race. I had fun and enjoyed my first race in the elite wave. I feel like I underperformed, but still set a PR by six minutes. Time to move on and get in some intense training over the next two months.

  • Comments: Sun Multisports put on a great event - very well organized and supported. Everyone said great things about this race, and it did not disappoint. I would definitely do this race again.

  • Comments: Great volunteers, and tons of volunteers. You couldn't walk 8 feet without someone offering to help. Lots of aid stations, but not stocked well. They should know how many cups they'll need! Plenty of port a johns.

  • Comments: Disappointed with my swim time. Since my ongoing injury won't allow me to run, I moved my registration over to the aquabike category. Time off from training along with a few hours of PT for my bilateral leg stress syndrome, I hoped I would have swam faster with less issues, and powered thru on the bike. Was hoping for at least a 2hr 35 min bike segment. I think mentally I wasn't all there today. Overall this group puts on very, very organized race events! I still feel a slight void in this weekend, since I had planned on doing the full half-iron event, but had to opt to the aquabike event only due to a running injury. We all put a lot of hours into training for these types of events, so not being able to compete in the full race event has left me wanting to give it a go next year! Hopefully a little smarter training will help to get me there next year! Perfect weather on this day as well!

  • Comments: This was my third year doing the Patriot and I expect to do it again next year. Nice venue, nice people, good amount of volunteers and plenty of anything I wanted.

  • Comments: Well organized race and terrific volunteers. Small and not a lot of hoopla. It was a lot like a long well-supported training day. My tri-club had 20+ members at the race so it was a fun trip.

  • Comments: Mark Walter puts on a great race. It was nice running a race where I never got out of the big chain ring. Great volunteers, but weirdly pretty much ZERO local support. Only beef was that the sharpies they used to mark washed off every one in the water so nobody could tell who they were competing with out on the course

  • Comments: Unfortunately I was so slow that the aid stations began running out of cups. The post-race food was just OK. On-course help from volunteers and police was great. Good signage for upcoming turns on bike and run. I wish the swim buoys had been bigger. Pre-race info packet was great, but it would be nice if it included elevation charts. Nice tech shirt, medal, and bike "snack" bag.

  • Comments: Aid stations on the bike were at the end of the loop, didn't need anything on the first time by and was desperate for some kind of sports drink by the time I got around again and they were out! Seemed like bad positioning of the aid stations and I will remember to bring another bottle of my own next time!
