  • Comments: nice race. If Texasman is this same course, it might be something for me to do and see if I can better my time. Plus, I don't have a Sept. race on my schedule as of yet.

  • Comments: I'm happy with my race time, but it sticks in my craw that all the distances were short. I was trying to make a good comparison to CapTex to see how I've progressed, but I can't if all the distances are off. It's a little OCD of me I know, but I'd like as close to the exact race specs as I can. I changed the distances on the RR to reflect what I actually got on my Garmin. The race is decent and the aid stations were more well-placed than last year(trust me, I appreciate this improvement), but this is a long drive for an event. I'm not so sure I'm willing to make this trek again next year. Getting up at 3:45am sucks balls.

  • Comments: I had a good time, it wasn't anything special, but it seemed organized and safe. Would've liked some better aid stations and post-race food. Also, getting nice some nice treats in the race packet is always a plus. It was exactly what I expected and I had a great time. Look forward to the group's next race in September and hope to meet some more BTers at the next event.

  • Comments: The race was a lot of fun! I loved to see people on the course and I liked the music and the fun environment at the finish line. The volunteers were amazing and went out of their way to get the runners the proper drinks! Thanks!!!! It was fun watching everybody get their medals! Congrat to all!!!!

  • Comments: Good race. This was my first DSU race. Nice venue. Good course. I'll be back to race Texas Man in September. My only complaint would be the distances - why not make it standard Olympic distances - 1500m, 40k, 10k. I think the bike course was longer than the 23 miles they said it was. And why 1500 yards?

  • Comments: Well organized by Dallas Athletes. The schwag of shirt and hat were good, the set up of the race and volunteers/transition area was very nice--they even had people spraying feet after the swim. The award ceremony was somewhat disorganized, and I'd like something other than just pizza/watermelon after a race, and there wasn't much of that as the Sprinters and spectators had consumed most of it by the time the Oly folks finished. Need to limit spectators eating the food and add in something like bagels and bananas. But seriously, no big issue. The race was fun, the announcer was good, and I really really enjoyed it. So many great BT'ers at this race, and I know I didn't get to meet all of you. Getting to meet Marcy in person was great too. Big thanks to Hotel Gary and Taxi Bonny...and thanks to all the BT'ers that said hi, can't wait to see y'all again. Congrats to all the hardware winners out there too!!

  • Comments: DA puts on great events. I love racing the evil toad and it's great to have the other Murph's out too for once. If SoMo would show it would be icing on the tri-cake. Congrats to Jen on a great Oly and unreal improvement! I barely escaped my 1st place wife again. Congrats Z on another great race! You are amazing!

  • Comments: This was a fun race and I would do it again. The course was nice (aside from the chipseal on part of the course) and the support was good. It's like a BT union every time I race around here and that makes this whole triathlon business that much more enjoyable. Thank you to everyone who cheered me on, heckled me, cat-called me, kicked me in the swim, got passed by me on the bike, passed me on the run and encouraged me in the final fun through the finishing chute. Oh, if you make it over to Jeepfleebs album, he took some awesome shots of a lot of the racers and the dude can take a picture. If you do view his album, and I highly recommend you do, look toward the beginning of the slide show for a wonderful shot of me applying glide to my left nipple. True poetry.

  • Comments: Overall it was a really good race. The location is rather far, but it lends itself to few cars on the course. The swim course was hard to navigate, but good. A defined swim exit would have been nice. It was kind of hard to tell exactly where the exit was. The bike course was nice and would have been better minus the chip seal. The portions that were smooth were really nice though! The run course was really nice in some portions. I liked running through the park under the trees. It had some nice down hills and some up hills. The portion on the road was not good. It was chip seal (I felt through my shoes) and along a busy highway, which was odd. But they did the best they could do with what the had to work with. Overall a good race. I might go back and do it again next year. I have to say, giving out medals 10 deep in each AG really sold me! I was 10th, so I got a medal! My second one ever. The first one was for my HIM and everyone who finished got a medal there. I'm

  • Comments: I'm now debating on whether or not to just go back to clydes. I've been busting my butt to get my weight down, losing muscle along the way, to see if I can be more competitive in my AG. I thought for sure my time would have placed me higher than 14th, given that the TMan 5th place finisher for 2007 was a little under 02:24:00. Oh well... I try to really suck it up, or I focus on putting my muscle mass back on and race clydes. I'm at 189

  • Comments: Very good but we did not start on time - the sprint went first then the OLY. The Sprint was about 10 minutes late. They did have me in the wrong class but no big deal. Pleased with the swim and now I know what to really work on for the Longhorn.
