  • Comments: Unfortunately, the new timing chip technology used at the race had some issues so I only had an official total time. The splits and transitions are estimates based on my Garmin.

  • Comments: This is the first time I'm raced this particular 5th anniversary event -- I've enjoyed being a volunteer the prior 4 years but thought it might be good to race where I've been training. Nobody was prepared for the horrible windy conditions that early in the morning and I think about 25 or so bailed during the swim.

  • Comments: I came all the way from Las Vegas to get away from the perpetual violent winds. That worked out well. All of my times are based on my stopwatch and not the official chip times. The timing company in Pflugerville really Pfuc&ed up and was only able to post Pfinishing times. I was really looking Pforwards to this race but was disappointed in the end. Oh well, at least the bar was set low for my first sprint tri. They can't all be Pflawless. My next one is sure to be better.

  • Comments: I really like this local race and don't have any issue with Glenn (the Race Director) and all the timing issues that they had this year. The company that screwed it up (All Sports Timing) was pushed on him when RunFar decided not to do smaller races anymore. I give this race a "3" score because it's just not that scenic or spectator friendly. However, it's so close to home and the location where we train all the time that I can't NOT do the race.

  • Comments: I have done this race 4 of the 5 years and really like the size of it. The timing issues were definitely a bummer but I am sure they will get that figured out before next year and I will do it again.
