Comments: The people of Taupo are amazing. Obviously the thousands of volunteers are wonderful, but to have random locals, sitting on deck chairs, in the cold at midnight supporting the last few runners is amazing. The organizers rescheduling an Ironman by 3 weeks following our latest covid lockdown is a spectacular feat of race management.
We were lucky to be there, and owe everyone thanks.
Race wise, I like the changes to the course since 2017, and hope they stick around post covid. 8 times past the family rather than 6 on the run can only help.
