Race Reports for Mount Shasta Tinman Triathlon 2010

Comments: Same group of people running the same race making the same mistakes. Transition area was still being marked 1.5 hours before race time (just like the past three years). Race director used a cheap bull horn to make post race announcements ans we could not hear much of anything. It is simply slow and disorganized just like previous years. It is a good thing that children get books with the proceeds from this race, otherwise it would be a complete disaster.

Comments: Regarding volunteers, this race has sufficient people considering the money you spend for this race. This race is very cheap and therefore worth the price paid. The racer must take into consideration some duties themselves and not be too picky here. THere is no chip timing, no time splits (Swim, t1, bike, t2,etc..). There is post race nutrition and awards. If you want a intro to tri's this is an average race with no pressure but plenty of people to race.

Comments: Was a nice little race that the directors said has been getting bigger every year. Mount and dismount line/area could have been marked. We were just given vague guidelines. Would have been nice to have water still at the first water stop on the way back.
