  • Comments: This is my first half, so I don't have much to compare against. Not enough portaloos on the bike course. Else all seemed good.

  • Comments: I would reccomend this race to anyone. The course is beautiful and the city seemed to really embrace this race. The volunteers were great and plentiful. I am grateful to have so many friends and family that have supported me in this effort. I was apprehensive about this distance and frankly unsure if I could do it. This is a dream come true. I have always wanted to give a triathlon a try throughout the years. Last July, I did my first sprint and was hooked. Now, I finally feel that I am a triathlete. Thanks to Jerry's transport service for making a smooth delivery of the Masi bike.

  • Comments: http://www.fyzz.ca/blog I’m sure an opinion of a race venue lies largely in the outcome of the race result. Thankfully Heather and I can say that the Boise Ironman 70.3 Venue was freaking sweet!!! The Lucky Peak Dam got hit with some strong winds overnight and into race morning. Saturday’s 60 degree calm and somewhat appealing water quickly turned into a 55 degree, white capped mess. Water never looks very rough when you’re on shore, and I’m sure most of you are aware how different it can feel once you’re actually in the water trying to breath and swim from buoy to buoy. This proved to be the case for pretty much everyone in the race. Even the faster swimmers seemed to be about 3-4 minutes off a normal time. It’s been a long time since I’ve (Trevor)really choked on water in a race, and this was a bad one. It was all I could do to keep from totally freaking out ‘Pin Head’ style. I managed to hold strong and take a few relaxed strokes to get my head back in the game. “Long,

  • Comments: Boise is a FANTASTIC race! You should do it if you can. I read that it is going to be on May 30, 2009. The volunteers were wonderful! The spectators were wonderful! The whole city was excited to have us there! It was simply great!

  • Comments: So far the most enjoyable race I have ever attended. There was even a point on the bike course where I was passing a correctional center complex and the weekend community service people (chain-gang) stood on the side of the road to cheer us on. now that is a community that is glad to see triathletes! :) I so would recommend this to anyone thinking about a 70.3 or just adding another race to the year. The town is beautifule, you can adjust to the cold water, the scenery is awsome, and the race is well put on!

  • Comments: This 70.3--its first year--was awesome. It was just a great experience and the city of Boise was great. My goal was 6 hrs, and I beat that. The whole experience went well. No complaints!

  • Comments: Need more port-a-pottys. Other than that this was a beautiful course and soooo much fun. Boise is gorgeous and I am so glad I picked this for my first HIM. I would love to be back here next June and try to finish better in my AG. I have a feeling this race will be getting lots of love from all the competitors.
