  • Comments: I beat last year's time by almost 15 minutes! Jack Weiss and Ironhead Productions run a great race. Lots of aid stations positioned just right, lots of volunteers. I'm glad I did it and I'm glad Derek and Shannon went along with my idea to do it too!

  • Comments: The route was the same as last year, as was the setup. They should really cordon off the beginning of the run better, as the announcer was constantly having to tell people to look out for runners. Other than that(and the out route through the swing sets), it's all pretty well designed.

  • Comments: For the money, this race is the absolute best one I've done - year after year (3 years in a row now). The locals donate this great food to support the Kiwanis Club, and Jack's crew do their typical clinic on organizing and execution. Lots of newbies and first timers reminded me how exciting and fun it is to be in this sport. Made me think back to my first race on a 35 pound Walmart mountain bike.

  • Comments: This was my first race 2 years ago and I'll always make an honest attempt to race it every year. Jack puts on a good race and you know what you're going to get going in.

  • Comments: This is a very nice race. The food is the best food I've seen after a race. I liked the challenge of the hills on the bike course. The road was questionable in some points, but as long as you kept your eyes open it was fine. The run was interesting. Not horrible, but odd. They do need to find a new way to route the run out. For the past 2 years they have done it the same way and the spectators are constantly walking through the run out course. This results in the announcer yelling at people. If they would just clearly mark the course on both side with tape, the problem would be solved. It also doesn't help that they put the food behind the run out section with the restrooms and finish line on the opposite side. Oh, and I'd also like to say that I don't think spectators should be allowed to eat the athletes food until the race is DONE. I saw tons of spectators chowing down on food, and people who were finishing the race had nothing to eat. How rude. I know it's hard
