  • Comments: I liked it. The rain didn't help at all but it gives you serious bragging rights afterwards doesn't it? Water stations were pretty good. Lake was good. The bike course wasn't closed but they did have a cop or two keeping things under control. Parking was a problem but I don't see what else they could do about it. Overall it was a pretty good race considering the weather. I'll definitely do it again next year! Also, I thought I'd add here that my shoes (and everything else) were soaked afterwards. After some internet research I stuffed my bike and run shoes with newspaper and left them out in the sun for an afternoon. It did the trick wonderfully and dried them both out fully. Good tip in case anyone else wants to try it.

  • Comments: It was a relly crappy day weather-wise, but overall everything worked out great. Nice cap to the end of the season with an AG win :)

  • Comments: I did this race a few years ago and remember it being an organized race. They put on a good race yesterday and I give em credit for running the race in a tropical storm. Conditions being as they were I am ok with my performance considering the ITBS flare-up and only 5 weeks of training. I have to get the ITband figured out over the winter, work on my old bikes and build a good base for next year. No running for this guy for a while. Sorry I didn't meet up with any BTers. Will make more of an effort next year.

  • Comments: This was the third year I've done this race. The fact that so many showed up on such a nasty day speaks volumes about this little race. Sold out a month in advance!! Kudos to the great volunteers who had to brave the elements and remained very positiove and supportive. Can't do anything about the weather and thing like trees falling on the course, buoys floating off. They did a great job, but I wasn't sticking around for the post raace cause the rain just started coming down harder.

  • Comments: As my first triathlon ever, I really enjoyed this race. It seemed to be well-run, the people were friendly and the volunteers were amazing to stand out in the pouring rain for so long.
