  • Comments: Disney of course puts on a huge race...I don't think it's "THE BEST"...they really have cut alot out in recent years...and it's expensive for what you get. But there's nothing like running thru all four Disney parks, which is why I do this race every year.

  • Comments: Need to do another marathon to reach that 4:30 goal. I know I can do it, just need to train better for the longer distances. No more of this "20 miles is the longest distance you run before a marathon" crap!

  • Comments: Awesome race if you're a Disney fan. Very crowded so not a race for a PR. Great fan support, I actually cheered for my wife the day before, and a few humdred other runners, and had a blast. Next year we are running the 1/2 together with our camera and just having fun then hanging around to cheer on the marathoners on SUnday.

  • Comments: I would recommend this race to anyone, first timer or not. The only thing I did not like was the WALKERS! We got bottlenecked due to the walkers. I am really getting to not like the walkers. They just did not seem to have the eddicate that most runners have.

  • Comments: I really enjoyed this race and would recommend it to anyone. It definitely rates very high on the fun factor scale. I waved to all the characters, but didn't stop. The volunteers and park workers were enthusiastic and great in general. The corral starting system helps if you are trying for a good time. They seemed very well organized. How can you not have fun at Disney?

  • Comments: Very fun and well-organized event. I'd recommend it to anyone and everyone. The course is entertaining, flat (it only has a couple of hills that aren't even worth mentioning), and scenic. I hope I can return someday!

  • Comments: It is frickin DISNEY. They can put on a show. I would HIGHLY recommend this as a first marathon for anyone. Great destination, great course, great weather and organization...what more can you ask for for a Virgin Mary ;) Several people were talking in our coral about this race being so HUGE...22,000. We do the Peachtree RR in Atlanta on July 4th with 55,000 close friends so this was big but not overcrowded.

  • Comments: It was AMAZING! I'd recommend it to anyone for a first marathon because it was so well organized, had so many aid stations (yay Biofreeze!), had so much entertainment and a ton of volunteers. Plus going through the parks was diverting and gave us a lot to look at. Great race!

  • Comments: Transportation from area hotels was great. Free coffee would have been nice the morning of. Some areas of the parks were very stinky - do we have to run past the recyling plant, for example? Yuck. Parts of the course needed some music or spicing up - felt there was a lot of downtime. On a positive note, the volunteers and staff were positive and helpful. A fun course and a fun weekend! Don't do this race if you hate running with a LOT of people. There had to have been 30,000 people (athletes and families) milling around. VERY crowded the entire race, and lots of little kids everywhere. Post-race, I wished there was a place to buy food/beer. Basically, you had to leave and either go to your hotel or one of the parks to eat. All in all a good race, but I'm not sure I'd do this one again.

  • Comments: What a race ~ I haven't stopped telling everyone I know about it. Could it be that I achieved 3 of my goals?!?! I didn't cramp (#1), I was able to run when I wanted, especially at the finish (#2) and I broke my 5 hour goal (#3). On top of all this, I beat my original time from last year by 57 minutes, setting a new personal record! What a weekend! • Comments: Kim finished with a 4:49:05. I'm very proud of her finish even though she had troubles near the end.
