  • Comments: They could have done a better job with the post race food. It was pretty bad. The oranges weren't even cut in quarters. The venue is great. The lake and the mountain scenery were beautiful. I met a few BT'ers - Lobo, Chile7473, Abqkid. Also saw Pilgrim on the run.

  • Comments: Happy to complete my first Olympic distance triathlon. I really like this venue, and it's only two hours away - I am sure I will do this race again next year. It is the USAT regional championship so many of the local elite triathletes turn out for it. I am surprised that only 120 athletes competed this year. Rumor is that the biker rally filled up most of the motel space in town and the resulting trouble finding lodging discouraged many would-be participants. No post-race activities other than the awards.

  • Comments: For the size of the field (~140), the competition is some of the best I've seen. Course is tough, but good times are still attained. I did expect more than water and some fruit for a $60 entry fee.

  • Comments: The volunteers were great, but they need to offer better on course needs, like Gatorade. Post-race nutrition needs to be better, instead of grapes and plums along with water.

  • Comments: This was my first season, and this race was my last tri for this season. I gave it my best shot. I'm a little disappointed in my times. That only leaves room for improvement next season.
