  • Comments: This was their first year doing this event. I believe it is the first year for the series. And I over heard they are going to be back next year. Overall a very well run race. They did a great job making a very small race feel like a big time race. I had a few issues with the race in general. 1. The quality of the road for the bike. Now, that is a little out of their control, as they have to rely on the community for it. But the road was in very, very poor condition. 2. The timing of the events were off, by quite a bit. Especially the awards ceremony at the end. He continued to say "We will start the ceremony in about 10 minutes". He said that for almost 45 minutes. I think it had to do with the fact that they didn't have the ability for him to call the finish line AND do the ceremony at the same time. They need to figure that out for next year. 3. Finally, and what might be most concerning, is the significant lack of security at the end, in transition. Nobody was

  • Comments: A very well organized race. Great swim venue, swim was a bit challenging for me, but if it wasn't challenging this wouldn't be fun. Actual race events started on time, but awards ceremony was delayed for an hour or two. Really, for their first race at this venue it went off very well. I will return again for this race next year, with more training hopefully the swim will go more than a little bit better. A big thanks to Crowny2 and his wife for the hospitality and carpooling to the race. Even if time zones are a little bit tough to figure out.

  • Comments: I thought the race site was very nice, it was well organized and they did a great job putting on the event. The most stuff I have every received in a goodies bag, 2-shirts, towel, license plate frame, water bottle, cell phone holder, they had grilled hot dogs, fruit, cookies, donut holes, free messages. The bike course is just terrible that is my only complaint that would have to change before I do it again.
