  • Comments: The food was not very good. It was mexican which wanted to upset my stomach after being in such intense heat. But other than that the race was great & very well organized. Also the race bag had lots of goodies- a nice duffle bag, NB shorts, technical shirt, tee shirt, wrap - around sunglasses & lots of other items. If they could have made the water clearer & cleaner that is the only other chg. besides the food that could have been done better. It was a great race & I enjoyed it very much.

  • Comments: Once again, this is the best Sprint Triathlon, period. The best swag, period and one of the best courses there are (except for the water temp). I'll keep doing this race as long as I can get in. I just wish there was more we could do in Shreveport and I really wish the race was on Saturday so we could stay the night and "celebrate" after the race.

  • Comments: The goody bag is awesome. This is a great race that is put on very well. Plenty of aid stations etc. on the run. Will definitely be back. I have a score to settle with that swim course.

  • Comments: very nice event, this is a fun one - I enjoy it every year, this was my 3rd. Will want to work on the bike - caught myself sitting up at times when I should not have been - got caught behind a van a couple of times - should have blown by it - work on the run, felt like i slowed down a little more than i would have liked - not used to going that hard (at least it felt hard) for that distance - very fun, will do this one again for sure.

  • Comments: The talent level here was pretty impressive. Some 20 year old kid from OK came down and smoked everybody. To place in a race like this would be an amazing accomplishment. However, I really don't get the feeling of accomplishment that I used to with these sprints. Maybe my heart is set on the two HIM's I have coming up. I use to think that I want to be really competitive in these, and I still do. But I believe that the feeling I will get when I finish an HIM or IMAZ (even if I finish dead last) is going to be unbelievably more amazing than placing in my AG in the sprints would be. But the race packet for this race straight up kicks A$$. Some running shorts, a running shirt, a t-shirt, socks, a nice large travel bag, sunglasses, and the standard stuff like clif bar and clif shot, and other miscellaneous stuff. I doubt I'll do this again, but the race packet almost makes it worthwhile!

  • Comments: My lack of seriousness and my 23 miles on the new bike powered me to the best Tri finish I have ever had 62/89 in the age group and a 19 mile per hour bike leg. My lack of training the last 3 weeks (my last brick was the Jefferson Tri) combined with no fuel on the bike leg or transition hurt me on the run this is not something I can continue to do. I beat Dave and I think he will seek revenge at a later date. Next stop Texas man Olympic.
