  • Comments: Overall this was the maybe the best tri I have done. Very close to the Playtri festival - lots of stuff to do, stuff to keep family entertained, etc. Oh yeah, they had BEER at finish line - that is enough by itself to turn the volume up to eleven!

  • Comments: I thought this was one of the best organized races I've ever been to. Everything was coned off and the traffic was managed so we didn't have to fight some crazy drivers. Best of all, everyone was super friendly and walking back from the amphitheater to pick up my bike gave me an opportunity to stand there and encourage the last wave, which is something that should be mandatory. It was hot later in the race but that's part of the sport. You have to find your strength from within.

  • Comments: I've only raced two races, so not much to compare to. It was a little more chaotic to start the swim than the other pool swim tri I did. The finish wasn't as good as my first tri -- but then again I can only compare the two I've done. The finish looked like it was a bit more happening earlier on -- since I was in the last wave to start I may have missed some stuff by the time I finished. The youth tri was great -- I would definitely recommend the youth tri for the youngsters!

  • Comments: Dallas Athletes could learn from these guys. It was a great race. The road closures for the bike were awesome. I liked having to walk back thru the run to get to my bike. Gave me a chance to encourage the runners. Course was good. Things were well organized. Wish these guys did more races. The end party was awesome.

  • Comments: Very good race. Lots of smiles, fun, and it was well organized. Two complaints though, the finish was nice but really hot and almost no shade. I also could have done without the run on the grass.

  • Comments: No shirt?!?! What the heck!! I got a freekin water bottle. I could have done without the band and hamburgers (which I didn't eat) and taken a shirt. Thanks to Saint Arnold for the beer though good call.

  • Comments: I would have changed several things about the course but overall it was good and certainly challenging. I need to improve myself more than the course needs to change.

  • Comments: They had a kids race before the Sprint. That made the Sprint not start until 8:45. Couple that with the increase in size this year and the swim start took WAY to long. That left a lot of us out on the course after it started getting too hot.

  • Comments: I liked the course overall (except for the grass piece). It was just the right amount of challenge. I just wish it was either in more shade or earlier. And the finish is all in the sun and quite the walk so that's hard on spectators and finishers who have been out there all day. I felt really bad for those who were getting in the pool late and out on that run course in the heat at noon in Texas. Good organization and volunteers, I would scrap the ampitheater idea and just do it on the CCCC campus. Fun time, nice medals. The kids race was adorable! Maybe have them the day before so the race can start earlier.

  • Comments: Seemed like they were in a hurry to leave. There were racers still running and most of everything was put up. When exiting the pool, you have to run a good distance to get to T1.
