  • Comments: Good first race of the season to take inventory of my fitness. Held back on the swim and bike in order to set up the run. Temp was not to hot, still confused as to why my quads are cramping.

  • Comments: Only two people checking in for packet pick-up. Transition was closing, and there were still people standing in line! Kayaker told a friend she had to go around the red buoy (and made her go back), when we were briefed the red buoys were for sighting, yellow buoys for turns. Same info needs to be communicated to kayak guys. Very sparse water support for a very challenging swim.

  • Comments: Another great Setup race, but the organization was off this time: slow registration, timing chip problems (was hoping to establish an accurate baseline for future OLY events), lame food. Still, I'm psyched I've moved up to OLY Level!

  • Comments: Everyone was friendly, the Set Up people know what they are doing. The sign-in process could have been faster but it was not a major problem. There was parking, portajohns, food and lots of signage. The course is designed for an awesome bike split. Rankings in race report are for age group. Overall for men, the rankings were 27th in swim, 167 T1, 238 bike, 308 T2, and 260 on the run out of 382.

  • Comments: Set up does a good race. I think there could have been more kayakers out there with the chop but they did well with what they had. They DEFINITELY need to place portapottys on the run course!! Post race party food was cold when I got done, just glad it was something would eat cause I was hungry. The tee shirt makes this race.....it has the critters from Where the Wild Things Are on it!! Love it!

  • Comments: I like this race a lot. I would far rather do a race like this than do Nations or some other big city tri. They could have used a few more volunteers at the drinks tables. Overall an outstanding event and I'll be back next year.

  • Comments: First time here in Bumpass. I had an awesome weekend with FeXY. I love being a part of a team. It was an absolute blast and a great way to kick-off the season.

  • Comments: I'll definitely do this race next year. I rated the drink station as low, however if I would have read/attended the pre-race meeting I would have known there was no drink station on the bike course.

  • Comments: The lines for packet pick up took forever and no water on bike course the post race may have been fine I wasn't there but guys who did race with me were not to impressed. I do not want to be too negative since most of the suck was caused by me, Nice shirts and plenty of water on the run.

  • Comments: SetUpEvents does a really consistent job and events are always well run and well attended. I also love this particular venue as the course is beautiful and the rolling hills provide some challenge, but it is a great place to start the season. The only food available after the race was pasta and bread. I'd love to see them put on a little more of a post-race event with a little more variety. Nonetheless, the race itself was awesome and I will look forward to doing it again.

  • Comments: Registration was slow - two people checking in. Very slow. Post-race "food" was unbelievably bad. Just pasta and bread. No cookies, fruit, anything else. Worst and most sparse I've ever seen at an event. On the upside, the ample volunteers for water and marking were all so nice.

  • Comments: Happy with my result overall as I came in better than my goal, which was to be under 3 hours. My race pace predictions were fairly accurate. Great race venue and Setup Events does a good job overall, of course this is just my second race, both were by Setup. Volunteers were great, thanked them when I wasn't gasping for air. Overall, I learned a lot and gave me a much better perspective for my HIM next month. Overall Men Results: http://www.setupevents.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=event_results&id=17...
