  • Events on time?No

  • Lots of volunteers to help?Yes
  • Plenty of drink stations?Yes

  • Post race activities? Average
  • Overall course based on my ability: Just right

  • Comments: I know the last minute location change was out of SetUp Events' control, but I really didn't care for that run course. Considering the bike course was shortened to 23 miles, I PRed my Olympic distance race! If the bike was the normal 24 miles, I would have had a close second-best time.

  • Comments: I think this was a great race--- minus the run course. I'll go back if that is changed, otherwise I'm not risking injury. Too bad too because the bike course is one of the best I've ever done period. Just awesome. All set-up events are very well organized (minus the port-a-potty fiasco at lake logan last year) and this was no exception. Almost had a carnival like feel since it was in a field this year (different course than any other year)

  • Comments: The race venue changed a week before the race. The marina's new owner recanted permission. Set-Up and the RD had a back up. Good job! The 2 issues were a bike shorted by 1 mile and a significantly tougher run course. Overall a great job keeping the race on with very little time. Hope to do more Set-Up events...

  • Post race activities? Below average
  • Overall course based on my ability: Too hard

  • Comments: I rated this too hard and below average because of the very poor run course for me. I have very tender feet, and this is not the surface for me. Too many turns and sharp rocks. This was supposed to be a training race to evaluate my progress and to experience the new bike fit. As bad as it was, it served it's purpose to highlight a lot of things I need to address. I'm pretty concerned about my ability to complete Eagleman at this point.

  • Comments: Good race, but the coordinators had a 'curve-ball' thrown their way with the local marina. Had to change venues with little notice. Only thing that suffered was the run course. Swim course did seem longer than 1500 - curious if others would say the same.

  • Comments: 8 minutes below my best time prediction and 23+ minutes PR, although bike course was 1 mile shorter. Looks like I was 14th in my AG, improved over 39th place in 2010 my first and only other Olympic distance, same race. Other than my knee, that was a good day.

  • Comments: Like I said above, I had no idea what to expect time wise and was shooting for about 2:30. I shattered that by going 2:25. I felt super good for the swim and bike. Andddd I came in 1st among all the novice so it was nice winning something. Can't wait to compete again. Probably the best feeling rounding that corner and into the finishing chute to everybody cheering me on.

  • Comments: Heart rate 104/152/168; 2,455 calories. I will be back. I've done it three times on two courses. Good people, fast field and it is close to home. Also, the neoprene chip holder as swag was a nice and appreciated touch. Not a fan of the gravel.
