  • Comments: I thought it was an outstanding event, overall. I'll come in again next year and do it, provided that they don't make it an even bigger race (1,500 really felt like the maximum that place could handle). BTW, the pic is of my friend Colin and I - neither of us finished on the podium, we just wanted a pic together.

  • Comments: This was the perfect atmosphere and location for my first race. The post race was nice and I met a lot of good people. Best part of the race "When my 2 boys ran across the finish line with me"

  • Comments: This was an A+ event and I've been very impressed with Onurleft's organization and the professionalism of the two events I've done so far. Now if Aaron will just add an Olympic-distance to this tri we'll be good to go.

  • Comments: OUM puts on a great race and I am really hoping they get the timing thing together to do themselves next year. I would like to see races start on time. We all know when our wave starts - get there on time people and maybe the timing issues won't be such an issue.

  • Comments: This was a great race for my first tri. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. The pre and post race activities were great. I plan to do the Houston Triathlon in September coordinated by the same group. Two minor suggestions: order the swim waves more appropriately; make sure there's always water at water stations (especially in this heat).

  • Comments: Very good race and well organized. Great for beginners. My only complaint is that the timing was completely screwed up and I believe some of the placings here affected. Of course this is Houston, so I'm used to it, but eventually someone is going to figure out how to do timing properly.

  • Comments: Always a good race put on by Aaron. I was skeptical of a sprint this size but it went off pretty much w/o a hitch. Very happy with everything. My wife was of the opinion the crowd and atmosphere was a bit tough to chase a 2 and 4 year old around in.

  • Comments: As usual, Aaron pulls a great race together. HUGE sprint for the race closest to where I live. The speaker decided to die right before they were going to start the race. I guess they also held up the start a bit based on people struggling to get into transition. Things went plenty quick at 5:30am folks??? Maybe others should get there sooner? After the start time was missed the race was golden. Water was cold on the run (NICE). The best part was the ice bath after the incredible finish line. It really helped drop the body temp quickly. Issues with timing, as usual. I think they used 14.5 miles for the bike course instead of 13.5 since I didn't bike 27.4mph like it showed. O well, at least I have times for swim, bike and run and all my transitions..the rest of the field can't say the same. Great SWAG - HEAVY, SWEET finisher medal (not sure a finisher medal is needed for a sprint ..but it's very nice), nice technical shirt, towel and bottle. Food & drinks were great.

  • Comments: OnUrMark does 3 tris in the area every year. My first race in April was one of these, my next race in Septermber is the 3rd one. There is a reason I'll do all 3.
