  • Comments: Overall had a great time and enjoy the venure. Was well organized and a lot of volunteers. Got to run into old friends which is always a plus. Plus I had the best fan club in the world. 5 friends drove over to support me and hang out. What a day.

  • Comments: I like this race cause it's flat & fast (unlike me). It also doubles up as a vacation/Disney destination for the clan & of course stone crabs are still available, but barely with the season close to ending. With proper planning, we'll be back again next year (for my redemption). Briefly met some BTer's but had to head back to the other end of FL to meet up with the family for the start of the Disney trip for them.

  • Comments: Always a good time. The timing is always spot on. No worries about things starting on time. The transition area, while huge, is very well managed and workable. Last two years they used neoprene chip straps. This year, were the disposable plastic straps. I hate those. Would have brought my own strap had I known. Will make sure to do that in 2008. This race just gets bigger and bigger with BTers every year. It's a great time to hang out with old friends, and make some new ones. The weekend always ends too soon. Definitely a race that is permanently embedded on my calendar.

  • Comments: This race was organized so well and with pleanty of eager volunteers. I definately want to race this again, and next year my time will be much lower. And I'm going to try to schedule my time better so I can see everyone the day before. I really enjoyed meeting everyone before the race and seeing everyone during the race. I heard so many shouts of BT and I'm sorry I couldn't return most of them on the run. I tried to wave and yell, but I just didn't have it in me. Thank You for all of your support. I saw a sign on the run that I will never forget: "Your feet are hurting because you've been kicking A$$!!"

  • Comments: Pretty good race for me overall. Qualified for nationals! Got a PR as well. I'm pretty happy with my personal results. The absolute best parts of this race though was being around all the BT'ers. If you're checking out this RR and haven't been convinced yet to do St. A's, please do. Its so very nice to be around these folks that I've spent the last 3 years with racing in Fl. I miss them terribly and can't wait to race with them again. The other mega highlight of the race this year was that Nease was racing with me. She really got screwed last year with having mono and sacrificing her race season to recover. I was so freaking worried that I would see her bike in transition when I got finished my race and so relieved when I saw it was gone. I'm very proud of her. She's just as screwed over with my traveling - if not more so because she has to deal with 3 kids by herself. I'll say it again...there's nothing that made me more proud than seeing her going at it. All along she

  • Comments: This was a great race. It was well organized and lots of volunteers. My only problem was the timing chip lines need to be organized this was a cluster. The people in the water were great and very supportive. Thanks to them for all their support and encouragement. This was by far a great experience in setting a goal, facing my fears and overcoming the challenge - I live to Tri-Again!!!!

  • Comments: The race was well organized with so many volunteers. I thoroughly enjoyed meeting all of my extended BT family as well as our friends in the NAMC. I would like to try this race again in the future as I feel I have some "unfinished business" with this race.

A big thanks to billcarb and fcollada for the hotel room on Sun. night. :)If you ever get a chance to hang out w/ these guys, they are hilarious. It was great to see everyone!! • Comments: This is a very well run race. Always fun to see and meet new BTers. I am very disappointed in my performance. I train really hard and consistently. I could handle it if I didn't train. I'm the type of person who needs to improve if I am going to invest so muchtime and energy into things. I'm tired of injuries. I'm tired of being crappy at this. Its time to re-evaluate participating in this sport.

  • Comments: This race weekend was such a great time for me (minus a certain 12 hour stretch). I met so many wonderful people and was surprised at how many were concerned about my condition. It just goes to show the caliber of people that are members of this site. I have made it a point to come back again next year, not make the same mistakes of illness, let it all hang out, and really see what I can do on this course.

  • Comments: I enjoyed the actual race a lot, but was frustrated with the expo layout. The distance between the packet pick-up area and the bike drop-off seemed so far. Under normal conditions, it wouldn't have even crossed my mind to care about the distance but I was trying to keep two young children with me and cool in the hot sun, so the set-up and lack of help and support from the race volunteers really hit me the wrong way. It is hard to avoid drafting and position violations on the bike course with so many athletes out there at once, but I enjoyed the course a lot.

  • Comments: This was by far the best multisport event i have been involved in my short tri career. The event was organized, on-time, and well-run. I would have never known that they had 4300+ entrants in this place at once. I really enjoyed meeitng the BTers at Marinos and seeing everyone on the course. This group of people truly embody what triathalon is all about. I am always anxious going into a race, not because the race itself, but I feel like a sore thumb at these things because of my weight. When I am around the other BTers, that all goes away - We help each other change our lives for the better and encourage each other to continue when it seems too hard. AND we really had a great time together on Sat nite! Thanks to everyone on Sat nite and to Rob and Eddie race day!!. My reslove to get better has been redoubled.

  • Comments: Great expo, great food tent and music. Plenty of BTers to visit with before, during and after the race. I was SOOOO happy with this overall race. I was only there to have fun and do what I could do since I haven't had adequate training. I think I do better when all the pressure is off me like that.

  • Comments: We walked up to the BT Banner and rkreuser is sitting on the ground. He looks up, squints and says "I heard them say your name." I break into my Happy Dance! Made the mistake of then walking up to people with my medal around my neck saying "Look what I got." As I said, God was good to me. Blessedly, they searched until they found the little spot of pewter. I stopped asking that question pretty quickly. I HAD A GREAT DAY!!!! :) :) :)
