  • Comments: Hung out with Markdills38, juliapurr, swgtri, himself, luv2ride, macdaddy, and blackbud. CoGirl made a guest appearance too. The post-race hang out really makes the day for me. BT is full of so many cool people! ;) And, this is the best race I know of.

  • Comments: If you're a runner in Colorado, you HAVE to do the BolderBoulder. If you're a triathlete in Colorado, you HAVE to do the 5430 Sprint. The great thing about it is that it's a big enough race to attract some very fast competitors and it's short enough that it's very do-able for newbies.

  • Comments: The Rattlesnake was pretty good but this gave it a pretty good run for the money. I loved the bike coarse and the run was a little exposed but overall it was a good race.

  • Comments: The race was really well organized, so that made it great for me as a beginner to figure out what was going and where I needed to be at any point in time. Overall I was happy with my performance. I had thought that if I had a good race I should be able to finish ~1:45 and I was just under that. Now after having finished one, I think I can focus on really pushing myself in the next race.

  • Comments: This is a well organized race in a beautiful setting. Although the bike is a bit long for a sprint, it is a fast, fun course.

  • Comments: This was a great race to be part of. Very well organized, started on time, lots of volunteers, good post-race activities, and a good race field as well. I can only expect that Boulder Peak and the 5430 Long Course will be the same.

  • Comments: Wow! 5430 sprint was awesome! 1200 people for a sprint. I was third in my A/G and won a homemade award and a hat and 2 tickets to steamboat ski area. Nice. Food was great, hanging with the buds was awesome, drinking beer, it was all good! It is really wierd how good I felt today. It was really ZEN like. Which means Nationals won't be as stellar. Oh well, I had a blast and It is always fun hanging with the crew and dring beer.

  • Comments: They put ona great race. Very well organized and a great atmosphere with so many people of all abilities on a fun course. Overall the race went really well, with improvements in all three legs. I took about 11 minutes off of last years time so I'm very happy.

  • Comments: Despite the fact that I didn't hit my goal time, I was very happy with my effort and overall race. Top 10 in AG at that race is nothing to get upset about, and I really liked that race. The huge crowd and big race feeling was fun, I liked the course, and just had fun today. If the rest of the series is that much fun, I don't see any reason not to keep doing the 5430 Series.

  • Comments: I guess now I know that you really can't leave anything on the table at a sprint. When I was riding I would back off when I felt a little too much burn in my legs. I need to push harder if I want to compete in sprints :)

  • Comments: This was an amazingly well run race. I liked the course and I liked how things were run. I will definitely do this again next year and maybe try for the Olympic (Boulder Peak). It was nice to see fellow BTrs. They did great.

  • Comments: Frankly, Barry puts on an amazing race. This event sells out at around 1,200 participants, and it's not too big of a surprise because it's so well run. Plenty of cheerful volunteers. Course very clearly marked. This is really how they should all be run! It's really a great experience.
