  • Comments: Unfortunately this race took a major turn for the worse after improving each of the first 3 years. They added a Sprint distance race to the program and I feel the RD was very unprepared for that. They did not put up the big tent like they have in past years which was a major draw for this race. There was also a problem with results which was very frustrating. It was Tuesday before my official results were posted. Overall I was very disappointed because this race had improved every year until now. Hopefully the RD will listen to the participants and make the needed changes to reestablish this race's reputation.

  • Comments: Overall an excellent race and very organized. Highly recommended event. Nice amenities afterwards. The only disappointment was waiting around for results to be posted, as of 11:15am when we left they were still not available. Received an email with results early in the afternoon. All in all, a great event and location.

  • Comments: Very mixed feelings about this race. Great venue, terrific food buffet and the organizers appeared to be trying hard, but just too many glitches: -Slow check-in, with long lines -Open racking in transition which led to confusion, frustration and overcrowding,, especially for late arrivals. - Inconsistency: TIght security at one entrance to transitions, but none on the poother end, letting people wander in and about. - Poorly laid out swim course. Needed more buoys and was measured short. - Needed at least one more water station on the run. -Timing & scoring was a fiasco, they kept saying that the awards ceremony would be in ten minutes, but after waiting in the sun for a couple hours they eventually cancelled it and said to check online later for the official results. Apparently they had a lot of penalties and DQ's to deal with (including one that moved me from 3rd to 2nd in my AG), but it was still a disaster.
