  • Comments: I'd give it a 5, but I only have a sample size of 1. Overall, I was happy with how I did. Again, I didn't do this to be competitive, but I ended up placing 5th in the Novice division. My times would have put me MOP with my age group (30-35), but to be fair, I may have benefitted from starting last in terms of the swim start not being as aggressive. The main thing for me was I finished the whole thing without stopping, walking, doggy-paddling, etc. Now, on to Mistletoe!

  • Comments: The best part of the race was having Renee cheer us on! Having somebody there rocked! (I left Justin in bed all snug and warm, until the dogs woke him up. We've done a lot of traveling lately, and he needed rest). The biggest problem at this race was there wasn't a designated first aid spot/station. The EMTs didn't have band aids, and the very sweet volunteer who helped me find one had to hunt through two kits to find cleaning wipes. Other than that, the venue was good, the race had lots of shade, the volunteers were really nice and the course was pretty well marked. Oh, and some guys in a boat cheered us on towards the end of the second run. That was kind of cool. I know blue sky is a good organization, I just missed the laid back atmosphere of my first tri. Plus, at the Georgia Vet's Tri, they grilled sausage (the awesome, downhome fresh kind) for after the race. Kinda missed that. It was nice to tri a new venue, though!

  • Comments: I think I'm going to like longer races. I feel lik ethe second half of the workout/rae is always better for me. I didn't like all the transitions for the same reason. I enjoyed myself and learned a lot about how to race.

  • Comments: 4 transitions for a sprint tri is simply too many.... *&^%$!!! It was great finally meeting you, donmck, even though it was a short moment. Overall, I had fun even though I, again, have a lousy swim. Keep tri'ing I guess... doh!

  • Comments: This race beat me down, but I did finish a half hour ahead of last year's time. Also, I managed 3rd place in the contrived Masters Clydesdale division. The BT tattoo introduced me to RJSuperfreaky and, I believe, ayeong, both of whom passed me on the run like I was standing still. It was great to see you guys. Way to burn up the course!

  • Comments: Blue Sky Sports does a hell of a job putting on a race. Saw Amanda and Brian racing, also Steve from the club was there. Along with meeting some new friends...OH..and my friend Jennifer took first! She's amazing. Good race preperation for the 1/2. I now feel prepared for the IM70.3!!!

  • Comments: Pretty good overall, but the awards ceremony started really late. But it was worth it because I had a GREAT RACE and I got some HARDWARE! The most important thing to me is that I improved tons over last years race.
