  • Comments: This was my first Olympic Triathlon. I exceeded all of my goals, so it was awesome. I race this almost five months ago and all I remember was the heat and my good bike performance!

  • Comments: This race is okay. I think they could work on a few things. 1. They were pretty disorganized in the morning. I got pretty frustrated trying to walk from parking to the start with my mom. I had no less than THREE people point us in one direction and then when we get there and start to cross we got yelled at and told to go back to the three people who had just told us to cross at that specific point. They obviously had not thought it out AT ALL how to get spectators back and forth after the race started. This one is an easy fix...f'ing PLAN. 2. The bike course needs help. You read my comments above. SEVERAL very dangerous spots. And lots of confused people. And I wish they would find some kind of fix to the uber-stupid-long run from the transition to the mount/dismount line. At the very least move the damn timing mats so most of that running time is actually included in your transition time and not your bike time so your speed is more accurate. 3. Timing. I did not appreciate

  • Comments: Great race. Will be back next year. Wish the olympic distance was able to go off first to avoid the heat on the run as best as possible.

  • Comments: This is a great race on a fun course; perfect for a first timer or veteran. Lin-mark put on a great race and am looking forward to competing here next year. Overall, I finished 5 minutes and 40 seconds or so faster than last year and 1 min and 1 second short of my goal of 2hr 30min. While my swimming time was worse (I chalk this up to poor strategy as I know I am in much better shape) and my running was sub-par (again, injury) my bike and transition times significantly improved. Next year my goal is to shoot for a 2:25ish time see you then.

  • Comments: I thought this was a very well organized race. The food was much better than at Black Bear, there were plenty of volunteers, and everybody had a smile on their face!

  • Comments: Awesome.....CGI is Great 1st time at this distance. I wanted to try to come in @ 3:00hr thought that real time would be at 3:15 so 3:18 was good enough consitering the heat factor and my cramping.

  • Comments: Someone suggested I keep my towel on the run because they run out, and I'm REALLY glad I did. And sadly by the time I crossed the finish line, there wasn't a heck of a lot of cold drinks left. Turns out I didn't WANT food, so I don't know what they had left. And I was really hoping to hear my name announced as I crossed, but I didn't. Maybe that's only for the earlier finishers that are actually in contention.

  • Comments: Great race, but the start times for the Oly race are crazy. Time to turn this into a festival like the Philly Tri; sprint on Saturday and Oly on Sunday, with start times at ~7am.

  • Comments: CGI puts on great races, but I do hate a 9:00 start on a hot day in late July.

  • Comments: This was one of the most organized and well-supported races I have ever run. I was so impressed with how well the race directors kept so many racers organized, from the packet pick-up to the post race festivities. The fact that there was still plenty of food left for the latest finishers speaks to how well everything is thought through in this race. For a race of it's size, it didn't feel crowded or disorganized in the least. I will definitely be doing this race- and other CGI races- in the future.

  • Comments: CGI puts on a great race. It's getting very big and popular which makes the Oly folks wait around a long time before we swim. Lots of fun, great volunteers, cool vibes and tunes while waiting, pretty venue. Only negative is the late start. Maybe we could have a BT wave and we could all get a priority start being that CGI's a sponsor here :)

  • Comments: This race was OK. I did not like that the Olympic had to start after the sprint. I got to race site at 5:30 am and didn't hit the water until around 9:20! That is a lot of standing around. As usual, Larry was fun to listen to on the mike. He kept things lively and that was nice. I did see a father who raced with his physically/mentally challenged son, Brandon. He pulled him in a life raft on the swim, biked with him and pushed him on the run!!! That guy was strong! Brandon must have weighed about 65 lbs! It was inspirational to say the least :)
