  • Comments: The swim distance should have been more accurate. I understand there will be a little variability because it is open water, but this missed the mark by a few football fields. I bet it sucked big time for a first timer without much swim experience.

  • Comments: A little disappointed with my time- really wanted to beat my time from 3 years ago, but I think the swim was long and the run was definitely a little longer. I did relatively poorly in my AG (10/64, compared with 8/108 last time) but I think part of that is the caliber of the crowd that showed up this time. For the first time ever I beat Andrew. Not sure if he is not in good shape and he looked broken at the end, but fun to beat a known entity that is typically a couple of mins faster. I'd be very interested to see the USAT scores since those take into account people's previous race results in the calculation. Interestingly, I would have been 7th in the 35-39AG...10th in the 40-44. Tough bunch. Turns out that 61 seconds faster would have gotten me 5th in my AG! Now I just need to find that minute somewhere. Quite a densely packed bunch in the end between 4 and 10.

  • Comments: pretty good race, alot of people on a smaller course. quite a bit of drafting witnessed on the bike course, still amazes me that more penalties are not handed out though.

  • Comments: Great race. I would recommend to anyone. All phases are challenging but none are really hard.

  • Comments: This was a relay and we only had me and my husband. He did the swim with a newly plated broken leg. I did the bike and the run. Out of 700 people we were the only ones that got a bad timing chip. Very dissapointing not to be able to see the time splits except for the run. I cant believe out of all the people we go the bad chip.
