  • Comments: This was a horrible race for me. I worked too hard all year for this kind of performance. But I'll learn from it and if they have a prize for most improved next year, I have a good shot. The saving grace of this race for me was the BTers there. They are a great crowd, cheering each other on, supporting each other. They made the race worthwhile for me.

  • Comments: Great race, great course and great organization. But the best part of all was meeting up with all the Mass. BT'ers. They are much cooler in person.Max, May, Kathy, Joanne, and everyone else that I'm forgetting, thanks for showing us Bt'ers from Conn. a great time. You guys Rock.

  • Comments: Awesome experience. This Olympic distance was the New England Regional Intermediate Distance Championship. So I am pretty excited with my results. I know that I need to do A LOT of work to compete for the top places but I will focus on that and keep having fun as I had been having for a years now. I love this sport!

  • Comments: Ok, this was a great event. The best part was the social wit the BT crowd. We jelled like we have been getting together for ever. I did not want it to end. Not to take away from the greatness of the BT stuff, but my finish was an amazing event all by it's self. I had forgoten to set my stop watch at the begging of the race so I was clueless as to how my time was till I saw the finsh clock. The only time I used my SW was to get splits on the runs. I saw the sub 2:37 amd change on the clock I pumped my fists. When I stopped my HRM it read 3:08. I had to ask if the finish clock was right and bassed off the first wave, for I started in the second. The finish clock was of course right. I meandered over to the finish shoot to cheer on as many BTers as I could. Then it hit me, I held back and shattered my PR on an Oly by 15 miniutes on a simular course. I took a knee and cried tears of joy. Could not stop for about 2 minutes. Got up just in time to hear Max's name get called. It finaly dawned

  • Comments: This is a fantastic race. Very organized. Plenty of volunteers. Lots of drinks during the race and after. Ice water sponges felt great at the finish. I will definitely do this again next year. TO KATHYG: My wife told me tonight that you asked to get a picture of me at the finish line. I was so dazed I didn't even realize it. I heard someone ask me to pose for a picture, and I assumed it was my wife. I'm sorry if I came off as rude--truly unintentional!! Thanks for the water!

  • Comments: Great race! Really enjoyed the day. Perfect conditions, race for first olympic. Already have this one in next year's plan. Wished I would've had more time afterward to meet all the BTers there. My kids who had been troupers this weekend in traveling to support dad were itching to get back home and play.
