  • Comments: Performance wise- just an OK race for me- but overall experience wise- a great race. Happy to be racing- a real treat to spend time with a great group of BT friends old & new. Too many highlights to list-some of our BTers really showed their stuff simply by showing up-never mind doing as well as they did- Proud to know em. Won a wet suit in the raffle (1st 2 picks had already left)..this is notable because I NEVER ever win stuff like that...AG placing a surprise given the quality of my performance-so that was nice too. Planets must have been aligned- even the rain held off til afternoon in this "Season of Precipitation"! A Happy Dance Life is Good weekend for sure.

  • Comments: Can I sign up yet for next year! At the rate of growth with the BT croud and this race we should see about 40-50 racer/voulenteers at this event next year. Too cool if we do. We would have about 10% of the entire field with those kind of numbers. And how could I forget the awards. As predicted Isis brought home hardware again! She keeps saying not this time and dose it again. I am not sure I deserved it, but Trimom217 gave me and DK ( she deserved it as much as anyone else) the tough cookie award. After seeing JP's photos of bloody nips, my PR just seems to pale in comparison. :) All the same I am honored to be the first recipiant of the Resident Matriarcks first ever Tough Cookie award :)

  • Comments: This is PB at OLY distance for me and the course was long. Also PB 10K for me (OK so I have only done 3 10Ks and they were in my 3 olys) SO even tho it is uber slow its still improvement for me. I was hoping to go sub 3 hours but I knew it would come down to the run as always and not making my injury worse was more important than anything else. Honestly, I could have stopped after the swim and been a happy girl because that was a tremendous swim for me. I knew the bike wouldn't be my best because I was back on little Roo and because of hills. I'm OK with it. I read Jorges Timberman race report the day before Cranberry and one of the things that dawned on me while readin it is that we all get to the start thru very different routes and you never know how the person next to you got to the start line. We all have a story and its more complicated than just stepping up to the line. Kathy G is an inspiration losing more than 85# Ellen too losing a ton of Weight, Aaron like me has fought

  • Comments: This is a great race and I will definately be back next year. It was the first race where I got my nutrition and running where I wanted them to be (hmmm, think there is a link between the two :) ) It was great to have all of the other BT'ers there and see them out on the course. It makes the day so much more fun.

  • Comments: There were a couple of dozen Bters from Mass and CT there, plus family members and SOs. It's so fun to see others and make new friends. It makes this sport much more than a hobby.

  • Comments: This was a fun BT event with lots of familiar faces and food. It was great seeing everyone. Thanks to Sue's parents who let me change in their motor home...I was freezing! I didn't have a chance to make the dish I was supposed to bring due to my accident the night before...sorry. Thanks to whoever made the oatmeal and the chocolate cookies. They were yummy!

  • Comments: Wow! This race was just amazing. There were tons and tons of volunteers that were just awesome. I thanked all of the guys on the bike course directing traffic and everyone at the water stations. It was just a great organized race. Everyone I met today was just amazing. Everyone is so nice and all they wanted to do was to cheer everyone else on once they finished. It was a great time and I'm pumped about doing this race again. This was my first olympic distance race. I was hoping to come in under 3 hours and 2:50 would have been amazing. When I looked at my time I was just floored. I didn't think I could have put up those swim and bike splits. It was just unbelievable how everything came together today and worked out a prefectly.

  • Comments: My only disappointment was the officiating. The race official saw some of the drafting that was going on. They even doubled back and were checking #'s so I thought that they were handing out penalties, but there were NONE!! I guess I'm just used to officiating being a little different. I was SOOOOO careful not to draft or block and it definately caused me to slow down several times. Oh well!

  • Comments: This was a great race and a great course. It's easy to see why it sells out every year. One question though - Why don't they offer size SMALL t-shirts?

  • Comments: I really like this tri. It was my first Oly and enjoye the venue, course, etc. Very well organized. Suggested to a friend that she do this as her first Oly this year and it left her with the same positive feelings I had after doing it last year. Great venue to be able to hook up with all the Mass/CT BTers. What a great day of competition head to head against a great friend! When I registered I opted for age group rather than clyde so that we would be in the same wave. Given how the day played out with Rob and I matching one another I'm glad I did. Gotta give Rob his due as he is one strong athlete putting in such a strong performance only 1 week after having a great race at Timberman last weekend.

  • Comments: This was a great race and well worth the trip up from CT—made all the more meaningful because of all the BT participation. This was really a great time and I look forward to doing it again next year.

  • Comments: Awesome Race!!! I can't wait to do this next year. This race will be the true bar to see how much I improve over the next year as well as an inspiration to keep training harder. I also see this as my first real race. My goal for next year is to cut off at least 15 minutes off my time. A special thanks to the whole BT crew. My sister was at the race and was truly amazed that I have such a fun and extremely supportive bunch to train with. I agree.

  • Comments: This tri. is amazing...everything is so well organized from registration, body marking, volunteers on the course, to the meal afterwards...just great! The volunteers are super! I can't say enough good things about this race...it was made even better by racing with 25+ BTers who encouraged, and supported each other...and we had so fun before and after the race. If you live in NE do this race!
