  • Comments: This was a great race. I highly recommend it. The swim was difficult to navigate beause it was a big circle around the lake. Beauty of bike ride and run were great. Lots of fun afterwards with lots of gifts for everyone and a free barbacue for runner. Oh yeah you even get a medal for finishing.

  • Comments: This was an interesting race for me. I battled through some diversity pretty well and I am pretty pleased with my results, however, I was expecting to do a little better. The organization of the race, volunteers, food/drink, etc, was all top notch. I'm planning to do this race again next year.

  • Comments: Based on my complete lack of training this year, I'm pleased that I was only 9 minutes off last year's time and I beat my time from two years ago when I had trained all summer. But, it's still disappointing to finish so far back in the field so I really need to get my butt in gear and get back to training. I also need to focus during the off-season on my running, which is by far my weakest discipline.

  • Comments: This is a nice race but mostly I like seeing and racing with my NE BT friends :) I like the patriot venue better. I forgot to give the BT tough cookie award out because it was in my transition stuff to my car and it was in there. I award the BT tough cookie award to Marianne for racing a mere 6 weeks after her bike wreck and PRing to boot.

  • Comments: This one was all about the bike. Just under 17mph is a really good pace for me. I know it's a fast course, but I really felt like I was pushing myself out there and had improved quite a bit since the beginning of the year being happy with 14mph rides. I've still got a long way to go with bike fitness, though, and hope to make friends with my "Angry Badger" this winter. Run was a surprise, but next time it shouldn't be a guessing game about how I'll do because I'll get more time in orthotics which have already given me some hope about improving my running (and decreasing my consistent pain and injury). I'm always less concerned about the swim, but that's certainly why I didn't do as well as I had hoped. Overall, I ended just right - barely made it to the finish, but not crying or spasming or collapsing, but took everything I had to make it there. Great course, and I'm really happy to have had this one as my first Oly. I feel like doing this longer course has given me a much greater

  • Comments: Still my favorite race. Not quite sure why nobody asked if I was ok when I am staggering around for the better part of 1.5 hours with my eyes almost shut from mile 4 to the point I dropped in transition. Must have looked better than I felt. By the time I got home, I had the energey to unpack the car, take care of the cats, run some laundry etc. I feel like I could go for a run in the AM, but a swim is more likely. From my perspective, this is not a negative review, but a record to look back on.

  • Comments: Seriously - this race is just perfect. I have only done 2 so I really do not know how it stacks up - but as an athlete - there is not one xtra thing I could have asked for. It was truly just perfect!

  • Comments: I have to say this year my mind affects a large part of my race. Guess I am pretty consistent in this course. 2006 = 3:10:09 2007 = 3:12:37 2008 = 3:07:14 2009 = 3:08:31

  • Comments: So I set out with a goal of sub 3hrs for my first Oly and an optomistic goal of sub 2:30. Check on the first and missed the second. Slightly discouraged with the run perfromance and concerned going into Austin in 2 months, which is 2x this length.

  • Comments: Very good race...being the Northeast Team championship it was a stacked field, lots of great triathletes racing today and it was fun 'going up against' them (I put that in quotes becuase I didn't see any of the top guys after the gun went off). I'm already excited for next year to see how much time I can knock off, this is a fun race. The bike track is flat as hell and it's great to see a 20+ avg even if most everyone did that. Volunteer work, as with every tri I've done, was phenomenal, they do a great job at this race and I definitely enjoyed it. Now I'm ready for a nap!

  • Comments: Great race. i felt great the whole time. I'm thinking of a HIM for next year. The race reports that people have shared from the past 3 years really helped.
