  • Comments: Good fun race. I don't know whether I'd compete in this race again as it's hit or miss regarding the swim during this time of the year. When you've prepared for a tri and end up doing a du, its disappointing.

  • Comments: A memorable first Sprint Tri. With only 2 months of preparation due to a herniated disc in my back, I was proud to have been able to finish. With off-season training I will be back with a vengeance next year.

  • Comments: There was loads of help out on the course. Traffic was controlled by police. Thanks, guys. You had to have done several races in the series to qualify for the prize drawings. The photographer didn't stick around for back of the packers at each segment. The post race refreshments were real artery cloggers.

  • Comments: I think this is a great first tri. Very laid-back, very diverse crowd, from really hard-core pro's to lots of people just looking to have a good time.

  • Comments: It was an amazing experience competing in my first Anniversary race. Finally, I had a race where I could actually measure my progress over the past 12 months. The run times had dropped from 12:10/mile to 8:30/mile. The bike speed went up from 18.5 to 22.4. An 18:50 improvement in time over the course of 12 months. This is when the year's worth of effort pays off. When getting up on those early mornings comes back. When the hours spent on the bike is shown. For my efforts, I even walked away with 2nd place in my Clyde category. What made it most special was that I didn't get 2nd by only being 1 of 2 or 3, but by actually hunting down and passing a competitor, and showing that I was the stronger person, willing to suffer more, on that day.
