  • Comments: This is a great race for fan & course support, the scenery is great and Marines are awesome for on course support. I totally didn't run like I had hoped but can't complain as to the journey to finishing a marathon was fun. Definitely will do another and hope MCM is one of them.

  • Comments: I can't complain about not qualifying for Boston on my first marathon. I came pretty close, but I didn't qualify. A little disappointing but to put into perspective my debut performance really wasn't bad. Proud to do the race with Team Fisher House, for my father, and for myself.

  • Comments: Would have rated this race as a 5 but the crowd at the end of the race was too much. I almost had to push through people at the finish line to get through and get across the timing chip sensor. Then the crowds at the train stations were extremely difficult when trying to head home after the race.

  • Comments: Very well organized and the marines could not have been more helpful, the only problem is that there are so many people there is a lot of waiting both in the beginning and the end but they do a good job with it all

  • Comments: I will do this race again. Other than the expo being held in too small of a location, this was one of the best times I've had running. The Marines did an excellent job and when off duty are pretty entertaining as well. They truly represent the very best of this country. Everywhere you went Sunday night you'd run into other people wearing the MCM shirt and the camaraderie was instantaneous. It really lived up to it's billing as "The People's Marathon."

  • Comments: Would have to say that this was one of the best marathons I've done, but think that NYC outdoes it by a little bit. Great volunteers (many, many Marines) and well run considering the size of the race and the security that has to go into this since it is right in the heart of the nation's capital. Will probably end up running this with Heather next year since she had to defer due to injury (left over from IM Austria bike wreck)

  • Comments: As stated above, the race is amazing and the Marines' participation is really moving. Extremely well organized. I'm so happy I did this race and I really enjoyed the weekend.

  • Comments: The marines put on a fantastic race! It's definitely one that everyone should do at least once. Beautiful course, fantastic support, and very inspirational and emotional. The crowds are also wonderful. The only time I felt the effects of running with 30K people was the backup getting in to the Rosslyn metro.

  • Comments: Always love to come up here and race, and the MCM is maybe one of the best races I do. If you have not made it yet, should be on your list. You will not regret taking on the course

  • Comments: The race was amazing. It was my first marathon to run, but I had observed my wife run a separate marathon. This marathon was better, by far. I have since run the Disney marathon and the Cox Half; both were great races but were not close to the MCM.
