  • Comments: Because I have issues with my knee's the changing terrain and uneven footing was a concern for me, althogh did not play a factor, half the run course was akin to participating in an exterra event. More road surface would be better.

  • Comments: Binbrook is a fantastic race location. My favourite second to Belwood. Weather was crappy - off and on again rain that at some points felt like hail pelting me and then pouring on me by the end. I'm glad I did it because now I know I CAN'T do Guelph. I felt strong on the swim but there's no way I'm ready to double the distance by next weekend and 15K in to the bike my leg started hurting. I should have quit after the bike but I wanted to race and then my pride got in the way and I wouldn't stop to walk... an out and back so I was heading out as the faster runners were coming in. My leg is a mess now. I thought I did well on the bike but the results have my speed at only 26.3km/hour however... if I were to trust the current numbers I came in 7th overall on the swim!!!! It says my time is 11:15 which has me swimming a 1:30min/metre - trailing the leader by less than a minute YAY ME!!! Ha ha. And all that must have exhausted me because apparently I spent 21 minutes in transition
