  • Comments: Maybe it was just me, I wasn't too impressed with this event. There wasn't much to look at other than people passed out on the side of the road, and there was WAY too much chip seal. It was just an uninteresting ride. I don't know what all the hype is about HH100 other than the title and that it's been around for 25 years. It certainly didn't live up to the hype (other than it being hotter 'n hell out there) for me.

  • Comments: The volenteers make this event. The entire city is on board for this one. It was truly amazing! There had to be at least 50 volenteers at each aid station not counting the medical personnel. I also never thought pickles wouold be good for an endurance event, but I honestly think they helped a lot. I plan to do this ride every year if possible! It was great!

  • Comments: After all said and done, the event was very well organized considering the amount of people and races going on at the same time. The rest areas will very well staffed and were very helpful with those in need. I did see emergency crews along the course. The rest areas got progressively more suited to need as the event progressed. e.g. More cots and places to sit/lay down on the last few stops as compared to the festive ones toward the begining.

  • Overall course based on my ability: Too hard

  • Comments: I am only rating this race low, because of the fact that the food at the rest stops was pathetic. When people are riding as far/hard as we were in the heat we were doing it in, they needed to have food other than cookies and fruit for us. It was really nice though, because people ALL ALONG the route just sat outside cheering us on. I even saw some 80 year olds sitting in the sun at noon still cheering people on. I thanked them for being out there for us.

  • Comments: This is a great event. This years weather cause the organizers to cut it short for some, but it was probably best.
