  • Overall course based on my ability: Just right

  • Comments: During the last 12 miles I was thinking this is the hardest thing I have done in my life. I couldn't imagine riding another 12 and then running a marathon.

  • Comments: HHH is the best cycling event I think you can go to in Texas, hands down. Of course, I haven't been riding long enough to know any different. But if I have my way, I'll be making the trip out to Wichita Falls year, after year, after year.

  • Comments: The aid stations only had bananas, oranges and pickles (except the unofficial free beer stop). It would have been nice to have a wider selection. Somebody had leaned up their bike against an unmarked cop car and when the disgruntled cop noticed he picked it up and threw it several feet onto another bike. That was pretty lame. Overall a good experience.

  • Comments: The overall organization was great. Lots of drink/food stations and volunteers. Pre and post race activities were really nice too. Extremely hard to find lodging in advance (unless you book 6 months ahead)... we stayed 50 miles away.
