It looks like tonight will include a brisk ride with the Gravel Grinding Group. Meet at Walt's, wheels turn at 6:00 PM sharp. Finish up with cold beer. It'll be a bit on the cool side. Florida cold, that is.

10:10am: For the time being, I'm going back on the regular dosage of the beta blockers despite the tiredness; maybe that'll get better? Being tired is better than the headaches. I need to make an appointment to get blood work done and then after that, call the doctor about switching meds.
I'm also insatiably hungry and insatiably wanting sugar -- the two are probably connected, of course. Dealing with all this crap, I've not been training like usual and when I don't train like usual, I eat more than usual. Funny how those things go hand-in-hand.

Rest day from ChalLEAN Extreme today. Taking the dog for a walk. I need to get allergy shots this evening after work. Moscow was overall good on our walk, I had to redirect her stubborn self twice which is a huge improvement from last week.

Took a full Rest Day yesterday.  My Run on Sunday was terrible -- I was sweating profusely, despite it being 32 degrees out.  And had to stop several times, which is very out of the norm for me.  Turns out I was dehydrated and fighting a virus my wife had earlier in the week.  I really should know better than to let myself get run down and dehydrated!!
Yesterday I drank 3 liters of water yesterday, a ton of gatorade, limited my caffeine to one coffee, and I rested -- as in feet up true rest.  Watched 3 movies.  I love movies :)
We'll give it an easy go today, indoors, and see how it goes.

Hoping to run today - NEED to run today.

I was picked to be an ambassador for the Just Strong clothing business. How could encouraging strong women be a bad thing.... Never done this before so we will see.

Just entered the drawing for the NYC marathon.  What the heck.  I never get into these things, although I'm prepared to do this if I do get in.  We shall see!

Running at the end of the workday with a coworker.  I suggested we do that before the sun sets but we don't have to get cleaned up again (compared to lunch run).   I hope this works out - would be a nice arrangement!

Spent all last evening Kondo-ing my dresser.  I just can't do what she asks, as far as taking EVERYTHING of a kind out.  As in all clothes.  But I did take out all my socks and pajamas and it was awesome. I threw away half of what I had and now I can find the things I use.   I also got a 2nd set of drawer inserts from IKEA and arranged things so nicely.  Went from totally fully drawers to about 2/3 full and well organized.  Also moved a stack of tank tops into the drawers, freeing up shoe shelf space.
And none [...]

I received an offer from the company I interviewed with a little over a week ago. I am disappointed in the offer. I am happy that they all loved me and are excited to have me join their team, but the offer is not the salary that was previously discussed. I am still in talks with the recruiter and need to fully review their benefits, 401k, etc. However, at a quick glance, the increase in salary would be wiped out by the higher cost of benefits and the fact that I am not fully vested in 401k with company match at my current company. I would lose this if I leave before being fully vested. The job is remote, however, since I live in the area of the San Diego office, they are requesting that I am in the office 3 days a week for 2-3 months for training. I discussed this with the recruiter asking what would happen if I lived far away. She said that the training period is usually done remote, but since I am local, they are making this request. I can see where this could lead - to me be[...]

Incremental improvement (again) in shoulder injury...really seems to be mostly deltoid. Definitely a mild sprain at base of right thumb. Assuming this is the worst of it, 48 hours post-fall.

taking it a *little* easier this week. my 10 mile run this week aggravated the tendinopathy in my foot. I have two broomball games tonight and I am going to Cayuna for a weekend of fat biking so it won't really be that easy this week.
