forgot my paddles and read the workout wrong cutting 2 repeats of a set. I didn't figure that out till I was done. UGH. Gotta remember the clock never lies! I KNEW things were moving along too quickly. At least I got all of the work in once.

Got lots of errands done, my art adjustment and managed to pull together a good mish mash of a dinner from farmers market veggies and leftovers. Had a really nice evening boat cruise with my honey and the girl.

We're going through a rainy spell, which always seem to coincide with the Illinois State Fair. I think school starts today for our area. Man, this summer went by fast. I've been drifting a bit as far as training goes. After Kanza I took June as an easy recovery month (as it should be), and Steve's heart attack and subsequent recovery have pushed any serious training to the back burner. I put my coaching on hold and have to say that as much as I like having someone plan out workouts for me, the extra money has been nice and I'm fairly confident that I could plot out my own training schedule for anything that will come up.

Today is lunch at Mom's, evening is possibly a bike ride if rain holds off. If it rains, there's Zwift.

I'm doing the Zwift Women's SRAM Academy this year. Last year I signed up but dropped out. I think I can stick it out this year. There are 10 workouts, 4 group rides and 2 races. I'm done with the first 3 workouts and have 1 group ride under my belt. I think you get a cycling cap if you complete the entire series. There are other prizes too, but mostly I just like the idea of some focused bike training.

So bailed last night again and went and talked to a friend of Chris's from the gym about MLM nonsense. I am going to start to use their products to see if it will work for me. Good thing is it is regular food. The one plus Shelene gave me a sample of their SleepWorks - non habit forming vitamins and minerals in a 2 oz shot. I tried it last night and slept like a baby for most of the night. The vitamins actually helped break up the cold so I feel better today. Not perfect but better than I was yesterday. I swear yesterday I was falling asleep at my desk by 10am. I have a bit more energy this morning. She is also a swim coach for the local high school so I will probably start private spin lessons (at least at first) with her in September hopefully. Not sure how $$$ she is but it would be fun to learn how to swim and she is pretty down to earth to understand the fear I have.

Chris hit up spin this morning with another instructor (normal for him) and will try to swim outside tonight if[...]

I couldn't move with my alarm clock again. No Chisel Agility today, the option is the Master's Cardio which is shorter and will happen at lunch.
EEK, I just got my approval to sign up for the CCM exam. Now I am scared out of my wits. I have to wait up to two more weeks to sign up for the test, the way it's administered the certification body sends approval to test to the testing body who then sends an email to me with my password allowing me to sign up. Seriously, this is why it was $160 to apply for the test--2 governing bodies want to play omnipotent being over one test.

That's it for today's workouts. Tomorrow I have a run in the morning and a ride after work.
I do have a bazillion errands to do tonight so I will knock some of those off the list on my way home from work.
We started watching a Netflix show called Secret City. I'm not sure where they are going with it but it seems interesting.
Last night I made salmon in the Instant Pot. Surprisingly good. In fact, it may be the best salmon that I've ever made at home.

I was worried about whether or not i would be too tired to swim this morning but i woke up at 5:27, about 3 minutes before my alarm. Apparently i was ready. :
Felicity is in a city run day camp this week at a nearby school. She's enjoying it - they went to a splash pad yesterday and are taking a bus to a trampoline park today. I think this one is a good option - it's very reasonably priced with good before and after care hours and it's close to home. She's liked them all so far. The one she seemed the least pleased with was the swim camp. She enjoyed the swimming (and passed her Level 2) but the afternoons i don't think were as fun for her. The teenage counsellors did not seem that into it when i would pick her up. We may still do it again next year because it's good to do the swim level ... we'll see. I am happy with this city one though. Excellent value.
