Easy jog on tired legs. Stopped several time so stretch on the benches. Saw a huge box turtle but I could not catch up to him. He was walking too fast.

Went straight from conference to gym.  The gym isn't too bad.  Can't beat the price ($10/mth) and there's always parking.  So big and as such always feels empty.  Never have to wait for a machine which is good.

My legs were fine, my butt was less than thrilled. The saddle is okay on the road or trail but my positioning on the trainer for some reason isn't as much of a happy place. BUT, I got it done and for that, I give myself a high five.

After being a regular runner for over 8 years, I finally bought myself a Garmin watch today.  My puppy chewed my old cheap Ironman Timex.  The price has gone down a lot and was lower today than Cyber Monday so I decided to get it.

Fred went to the basketball game with me last night. The kids were so fun to watch and they had a good time. One kid got overlooked and didn't get to play and was very disappointed. It was so chaotic, I knew he was there, but I didn't realize he didn't play until after the game.
There are so many kids, there needs to be a better way to rotate them through.

The bathroom is coming along nicely. The walls are painted and the floor is in. I love the color I selected. Depending on the light, it has so many different nuances and is very pretty. The shower went in yesterday. It looks nice, but it is much more narrow than I expected. I'm not going to be able to use the grab bar shelves that I planned because it will further tighten the space. The contractor told me not to stress over the weekend, they will figure something out. I don't expect them to tear it out, but we're going to need to maximize every inch that we can.

Started the Liift 4 program on Beach Body today - recommended to me as a good one for integrating into run training ... only 4 days a week. Hard Hiit section. Felt good - i don't lift very heavy weights but good just push myself

Just ordered Miss G a 6 month tinker crate subscription for Christmas. Now I have to remember to cancel the renewal in 6 months or they will automatically charge my credit card. What a PITA. They won't let you opt out of the auto renew now, you have to wait until the last shipment comes then try to remember. Sigh I'm going to leave myself a note in my BT blog in May.

Our profit sharing meeting was good, the company had a very good year and distributions reflected that. Most notably was that Steve's retirement was announced, so of course people were asking me what my plans are. All good stuff.

2 miles on The Fred Marquis Pinellas Trail and the rest in Hammock park gravel, sand,  and dirt.  Felt fatigue and heavy for 3 miles and was going to quit but pushed on.  Felt real good for miles 6.5 to 8.5 which were on the Pinellas Trail.  Good run overall.  It was good to put the miles in on tired legs.  Good for training. Sprinted as much as possible the last half mile which improved my time by about 10 seconds per mile average.

Feeling squeezed -tis the season I guess. This is really not my favorite time of year. I wish I were one of those people who loved the holidays, decorating, baking, shopping etc but I'm not. Oh well, I love spring and get more excited about that than the average person. 

Strength training workout that I downloaded from Garmin connect to my new watch. Cool feature. I chose a workout and the watch has an avatar demonstrate the move, tells how many repetitions and how many repeats of each exercise. No TV or computer needed once it's on the watch. Wow - what will they think of next. The workout I tried out was called Back to Basics - deadlifts, chest press, kettle ball slams & swings, squat lifts, row. 15 of each exercise x 3 sets.
38 min total time but they had 1 min rests in there. I did sit ups or climbed the stairs for some of those once I figured out how often the rests were.

Feeling better today. I went out to dinner with my brother and he's had some depression issues so he was able to talk me through getting out of the funk and getting out of the house. I did some productive things today which definitely improved my mood.

Have a basketball game tonight. Looking forward to seeing my kids!
