First time lower back was tight going out in at least a couple weeks. Had to keep an eye on it. Weight was back up for no apparent reason.

Day for adulting: we renewed our mortgage. Really we made it much larger but it will be so much more manageable. We paid for our reno with a home equity line of credit. We were paying the interest monthly. So, we have it bundled now with the existing mortgage (which was very nicely paid down, considering).  It's a huge amount of money but we got an excellent rate (we went variable again - rates even lowered while we were negotiating), while they are not as low as our previous rate - that just doesn't exist right now - it is very good. So, that is a relief for us. :) Very grown up.
Logan came home exhausted from daycare. He was so fussy at 7:15pm. I took him up to put on jammies and read stories and he freaked out for the whole changing process. i tried to comfort him but just put him to bed where he promptly passed out. Must be hard to be growing. LOL! And no stories.

8:45 AM: In the office. Just me. There is not another soul here. Will probably scoot out of here on the 4:05, walk home, and then maybe head out over to the Outlet Mall to pick up a giftie for my friend Jill's birthday. I know what I want to get her, I just didn't buy it when I originally saw it... and now I'm wishing I would have.
Interesting. A random (older) man complimented me on my shoes this morning as I was riding the escalator. It's amazing how nice things are recognizable. Shoes and purses have a better design. Clothes have a better cut, and drape/fit and quality is obvious but understated.
Also interesting is that this (older) man tripped up the escalator step and almost fell after mentioning my shoes.

Meet the Aquatalia Shaw Peep Toe Bootie. Making men trip up escalator stairs since 2018.

One eight hour day working, one running errands and then I'm a "leaving on a jet plane" to Curacao. What sorts of fresh hell will work throw my way today?
My assignment this week was a quiz, I completed it last night and posted it. The instructor returned it to me because she said I hadn't highlighted my responses. I saw my highlights on the page. So, I re-highlighted them and marked the response answer along the margins as well. Emailed it to Miss Thing, confirmed she saw the markings I made then reposted it. Messaged the instructor of all my efforts to ensure it was verified. My quiz is back & graded (full points) but the last paper I wrote for my last class?  Not graded. Final grades are due in tonight for that class.

More horses today - took DS to horse riding. They set out for a trail run but I guess the owner is trying to work with a new horse and it wasn't in the mood. It bucked her until she finally fell off or let go or something. She fell pretty hard I guess and had someone drive her to the hospital. The more I'm around horses the less I like them. They are big and dirty and smelly and make massive piles of poop. But I won't say this to my horse loving friends and family :).
Otherwise this was a quiet day. I borrowed my MIL's cricut fancy cutting machine and tried to make a few labels for bins for school. Didn't like anything I made though and threw it all away. While I was doing that I was also downloading a new online teach yourself and play along piano program for LM. It's through Yamaha and connects to our Clavinova. It scores you as you play the lesson, actually shows you the note your playing (gasp), you can slow the tempo, replay as needed and lots of other features that woul[...]

I'm about to lose my dealing with galleries this week. Still haven't heard from my CB gallery in response to my email about pulling my work. So I'm having to pester them now with additional emails asking if please can I stop in and pick up work this weekend (the gallery is, of course, closed this time of year, so phone calls are useless). Then, I'm supposed to be in a show in Jackson in September and the document she sent me is all the wrong dates, and I can't for the life of me get her to respond and send me the correct deadlines. I don't even know when the opening is for travel purposes! WTF?
On top of that, Aspen was supposed to get an email letting her know if she got into the school musical last night. All of her friends got theirs, she got nothing, so I had to bug the teacher for a response. Just found out she didn't make it, so she will be bummed, but geez - at least we know and can move on! Better for things like that to happen like ripping off a bandaid - not gettin[...]

Midnight work was cancelled this last evening. Another group made a mistake that took down the network for a lot of the company and cancelled a lot of work. Will try the track again today if the electrician ever comes.

Another midnight to 6 work night. Electrician coming today for washer blowing circuits in laundry room and hallway/garage lights.

I have to sit in on arbitration hearings with government all day today and tomorrow. It looks soooo nice outside and these chairs are soooo uncomfortable. My feet are revolting against being forced to wear heels oye! Hoping I'll be able to go for a short run after and stretch out my body. Been a while.

The Stanley cup playoff schedule came out last night during the 3rd period.  We get home games for game 3 and 4.  No way I can make game 3 on Saturday night (evening before Alcatraz and I'll be in SFO), but during the last minute of the game I jumped on united's site and changed my flight home on Monday to [hopefully] be back in time to make it.  I told Jon that I'd be willing to let one of his friends go to game 3 on a friends & family discount, but he decided to put our tickets up for sale anyway... $1100!!  Wow, people really pay that much for a hockey game?!!  So... I signed up for the Alcatraz practice swim on Saturday.  Selling that ticket will cover both the practice swim and the flight change - gonna be a crazy weekend!!
