25 min run/walk
I think I'm going to do an easy trainer ride tonight. 45 min. Flat. Just to keep things moving and maybe break a sweat. I'm getting extra running when I do OT. I definitely don't want to overdo the running.
Hair cut and color today, eyebrow wax, etc. A bit of a maintenance morning. Brought my phone with me to the salon so I could respond to eMails and stuff while my 'do was processing.
Multi-tasking.

Beat ... going out tonight tho. The 22nd Anniversary is today going to dinner and to see Pete Lwe (google him - he was in the tonight show a couple of times in the last year) perform with Sparky and her BFF. Should be fun.

AACCK!!! It's been a busy day today. I got in early (5:40am) and barely got breakfast done (over an hour later than normal) and then mistimed part of lunch and it was delayed as well. All this work stuff getting in the way of cooking!!
Today's meal was a repeat -- the choice of a colleague celebrating her birthday, and one of my favorites -- Belizean Stewed Chicken. With some Mexican rice and vegetables, it was FANTASTIC. I'll upload a photo here in a bit.
Now I need to do something vaguely exercise-like when I get home, then clean up and head out for the 11th Annual Biaggi's Birthday Bash -- a few of my Plainfield friends and I always hit our favorite Italian restaurant to celebrate. And yes, this is epic bad planning since I'm still full from lunch. :

I see the light at the end of the tunnel! I made it to the end of the week! Last night was the 2nd night in a row I was working until around 8 p.m. Everyone in the building is weary, rough looking... you can see it in their eyes that Thanksgiving can't come soon enough.
And my stuffing dish is SO GOOD. It's basically box stuffing made per the directions (I used Aldi's gluten free, 2 boxes), then add in cubed butternut squash, onion and celery (sauteed on the stove top for about 10 minutes), fresh rosemary (KEY!) and dried cranberries at the end. A bit of italian parsley to finish it. Put it in the oven for about 30 minutes to warm through and crisp the top. IT's such a winner if anyone wants to rock a stuffing dish next week!

Very surprised by the amount of snow that fell yesterday and overnight. It's not going to stay but sure made a mess. Is this an indication of what's to come? I hope not.
I didn't go swimming on Wednesday. I was so tired. I went to be at 9 and slept for 9 hours. Thankfully Logan slept too.

Well, got a call at lunchtime yesterday that Owen hurt his foot at school, so I ended up having to go pick him up. So much for going to lift! Got two paintings done regardless, so I'll call it a successful day anyhow. Debating whether to bother taking him to the doc or not. He refuses to stand on it, but it's not swollen or bruised at all, and when I touch it it's an all over sore, not a bad ouch in one spot. He's moving his toes fine. My gut, having broken many bones myself (not proud!), is that it's just sprained not broken, so why bother paying all that $ to visit the doc? I think I'm going to send him to school on crutches.
Need to finish one more 12x12" painting for the 12squared show in Montana - got three done so far. Once that's done, need to varnish and sign a couple big ones that I'll deliver to Beaver Creek tomorrow. Was hoping to get them some small stuff, but it's not gonna happen for a couple more weeks.
Will head to the gym this afternoon to get in my l[...]

It is beautiful outside this morning! I took a walk last night, which probably wasn't my smartest move since the weight of ice had large branches breaking off. Lots of tree damage, mostly on the pine trees that gathered more of the ice on the needles. Over night we had a dusting of snow which made everything even prettier.

Got a list of things to get through today. Need to shake this laziness that has descended! Fortunately I have basketball/cheer practice tonight to get my butt moving!

Our cat has a tumor in his intestines. It was discovered back in April and he was only supposed to live a couple of months, so I feel fortunate that we still have him. I had to start giving him his kitty narcotics last night for pain. As long as I can keep him comfortable, he'll stay with us, but I fear his time is getting short. He's the best lap warmer ever.

Team Z sent out the poll to determine interest in next summer's "A" race - and they are all choices in NY!!  The explanation is that with Rev Williamsburg being sold to Ironman and moving to May is that there are no good options that have multiple distances and good time frame.  But there have to be more choices than the 2 he offered in NY?  Hmm... maybe I'll just look around for myself.  I was hoping to do olympic distance mid-summer, and I don't know that I'd do 8 hour drive for olympic distance.

Not as sore this morning as I thought I would be - phew. I am still using a bit lighter weights (or no weights in some cases) to accommodate.  I'm trying really hard to get my 8 sessions in this month - which is a lot, considering my travel!

Holy moly, this is tough.
Houdini escaped her crate within an hour last night and in the process tore up the living room carpet. Thing One is oblivious to the path of destruction her dog leaves. Trying to not get an attitude, but we didn't choose to get a strong-willed dog. Heck, we didn't choose to GET a dog. The fact is she's here and we're trying to make the best out of the situation--but we're going to have to replace the carpet and I don't want the destruction to continue.
Sigh, system outage. Here I sit unable to log into my main documentation system for work. The cats are with me again, at least they'll eat today --up here away from the dog.

This snow is causing me havoc.  I waited too long and now the earliest I can get my snow tires on is the 27th so... no OT workout because I don't feel comfortable taking the car out on the road.  And no time to run outside as I have to figure out how to take public transit (yikes!) to Grimsby so I can attend a funeral with my mother.  Hubby didn't do the leaves last weekend so now it's a big ugly mess in the backyard but that's his problem ha ha
