Have you ever had to 'break up' with a brand you loved? Yesterday, I had to 'break up' with the Whole30 brand, which you may know I adore and follow their food philosophy after doing four rounds over the years. Their founder has always been outspoken and grounded in her beliefs - and I admire her for overcoming drug addiction, sexual assault, divorce, etc. and she's been a source of motivation for me in the past. I even saw her speak in person in Atlanta a few years ago.
But one of the things she's big on is crystals and the power of crystals. She stories about them on her personal Instagram account, along with other personal things like weight lifting, yoga, hiking and talking about her hair extensions, botox and tattoo removal. Personal stuff, which is why it never bothered me that she mixed in crystals on her personal account. But recently, she hosted a podcast with someone who went into extensive detail about how she uses crystals as a tool for personal growth with her clients [...]

So many vendor meetings this week. We're competing our contract for end user device leasing, and these meetings are just blurring into each other. I get it, you can all do exactly what I need you to do for an unbeatable price. I'm getting eye strain from how hard I'm rolling them.

More of an agressive walk on the treadmill.  Feeling a bit off, probably from the blood donation yesterday.

Busy day here. Slept in this morning then I had to get up and get moving to get everything finished. Had lunch with the MIL. I haven't seen her for ages and it was good to catch up. Took her to my favorite restaurant. Came back and met with the auctioneer. He wants to have our auction in September. Holy crap, I've got a LOT to do! He spent several hours with us going through the entire house and both barns.

Today was absolutely insane. I scarfed my lunch down around 2 PM and was ready to either cuss someone out or cry because I have a couple of extremely difficult patients/ families. Of the difficult people, one refused his discharge--even though he refused to cooperate with us. One is about as loony as they come, and one has a family that is F***ing useless but insists that mama come home with them. (APS involved because they didn't care for her). Whatever dudes, I am out of here.
We had an interview for the team leader position. It's a position that a few of my peers want me to take but I don't know I bring enough experience to the table for it. This candidate brings a wealth of knowledge and ability to the table that I don't have. I think she's a great candidate and would learn a lot from her presence in the department. I was asked if I was interested in the position, I let my manager know that if this candidate either is not made an offer or declines it that I would be inter[...]

HOLY HELL, it's been forever since I set up the bike trainer. I think it took 10 minutes to get my bike set up last night. Furniture arrives this evening so I can't hit the trail after work. Has to be the trainer.

Feeling pretty good today.  I'm officially booking my AirBnB condo again and signing up for Ironman Tremblant 2020 today.  The major thing I'm doing differently after this Ironman, vs. others, is I'm not eating like a jack-.  I had some naughty food on Monday.  And I had pint of Ben and Jerry's Phish food last night; but otherwise I'm eating clean and my weight is showing it.  I'm 172.00 lbs today, fully hydrated.  My GOAL for Tremblant 2020 is 160 pounds even.  I know I can do it.  And I know I need to do it cause I'm well within the top 10% on all the downhill Strava segments for the Tremblant course; and only Top 35 to 40% on the sustained climbs.  This tells me it's a weight thing.  No other excuse.  Numbers don't lie -

Felicity spent 3 hours in my aunt's pool yesterday. She and my uncle john did some 'synchro' swimming. Glad she's having fun. My mom is taking her to the movies today.

√ Zoe and I ran this morning. I failed to confirm that the watch uploaded. I'll deal with it later.  We went 2.1 miles.
√ This evening I have a short (30-45 minutes) cross training thing. I plan to ride on Zwift. I decided that at 20 minute run plus a 30 minute bike was > 45 minutes :-)

Another Roanoke picture.

I'm piggybacking from yesterday, so please excuse me. I have been asked to configure a certain aspect of our primary info system for one of the banks. This bank "implemented" this on their own 18 months ago and it hasn't been used since. I asked the Retail Vice President for information on a few aspects of the products delivered using this system and the phone call I got back was, shall we say, disappointing.
"I'm really not well versed" she said. Wow, she has been here for 5 years and doesn't know the current product list. I can't say I'm surprised, so yeah, let's go with disappointed.
12-15 more years until retirement. I think I'll continue looking and keep my options open.
