More storms overnight. I wonder if it's ever going to quit raining? We had a lot of thunder and lightening last night, but evidently, not a lot of rain. I didn't have to lower the water level in the pool this morning. When we were coming back from the pool in the rtv, we had a turkey traffic jam. There were two adults and 13 tiny little babies. They didn't seem overly concerned to see us, so we sat and watched them. They are so cute! We also had a pileated woodpecker just outside the bedroom window this morning. He was preening and looking around like he didn't have a care in the world. I love these kinds of mornings!

I got waaaaay off track this weekend with eating. Yesterday, I cut out the sugar (again) but didn't make it to the grocery, so didn't have a whole lot of options here. We had blueberry pancakes for dinner. I honestly have no idea how I'm going to feel after having my tooth pulled this afternoon, so I'm going to try and squeeze in the store between mom and lunch.

Spent time today working on the pool. Since we were gone over the weekend, the pump didn't run and storms made the pool very dirty. Ran the cleaner this morning, then brushed the algae and got in and scrubbed the sides with a hand brush.

Other than the pool, not much was accomplished today. Took Fred to the eye doc and read more of my very entertaining book "Upstairs at the White House"

Have to get a cracked tooth pulled tomorrow and I'm a little freaked out over it. I know it won't hurt because of the novicane, but the thought of having it pulled out of my jaw still makes me quite uncomfortable. I may get a little something to calm down before I go in.

Today is the Raptors parade in the city. It was busy but fun to see so many people out this morning on my ride to work - choosing to take the positive side to it being busy with people who clearly do not take the subway very often.
I may try and go down and see the madness but it is unlikely i'll get very close.
Also, our 15 year old washing machine kicked the bucket so Darren bought a new one. It will delivered on Tuesday.
--------------
Tried to go see the Raptors parade today at lunch - the schedule was to start around 10 am with them arriving for the presentation at City Hall which is only a few blocks from my office around 12:30. I wandered down around 12:30 but by 2pm they still hadn't arrived and were not going to be there any time soon. Anyway, decided to head home after that. It is an insane amount of people downtown and getting home while people are in good spirits seemed smart!
It was a great crowd, happy and relaxed. Some drumming to keep[...]

Weather and life were sure working against me today!  Checked radar at 4 am and it showed a thunderstorm on the way, so skipped my swim and of course nothing happened.  Had an early morning dr. appt and had hoped to get home early enough to do bike/run and get lunch before my afternoon appt.  Got held up doing a 45 minute appt and then 30 minute xray?!  So didn't have enough time for the bike.  Got home early enough to get a ride in, so suited up, and was pumping up tires when I noticed the front brake apparatus on my bike would not allow the front wheel to turn to the left much at all and the brake pad was rubbing on the wheel.  I tired to adjust, but it's not a normal brake, it's specific to the Liv.  So off to the shop it goes.  I'm taking it local in hopes I can avoid a double round trip to Waco, but if they're gonna take more than a couple of days then I'll suck it up and run it up there tomorrow and pick it up Thurs. or Fri.  I've pr[...]
