MTH3-WK3-FULL BODY CIRCUIT#1 - 3 CIRCUITS:
10 reps: Iso Dynamic Hip Thrust Stepping (per side)
8 reps: Plank Walkout
12 reps: Kettlebell Crossed Step Up & Press 15# - Heavy - had to break set down to 2x6
12 reps: Alternated Dumbbell Bent Over Row 15# each - felt light.
15 reps: The Saw Elbow Plank
20 reps: Alternating Side Squat on Stool 20# - total or per side? Was doing per side but 20 per feels like so much. Did it anyway for 1st then compromised with 15/ side for rest.
15 reps: Crunch Knees to Elbows
8 reps: Man Maker 10# each - realized the past 2 weeks I've forgotten to do the little pushup to start the movement. Did so today but it wasn't deep!
Increase in weight/reps - body is sluggish and heavy so just took my time with these. Ave HR 132 but it goes high during some of these exercises. Dripping with sweat by the end.
Think I'll skip cardio and just go for a walk on my lunch.

Rest Rest Rest Rest.
I am ridiculously and embarrassingly SORE from the top of my head to the bottoms of my toes, every square inch hurts. Took today off and did.... literally.... nothing aside from finish watching Seinfeld... the show about nothing.
Here is today's featured photo.

In cool career news, one of my paintings has been chosen as the cover art for this year's Grand Teton Music Festival in Jackson Hole. It will be used on posters and marketing for the festival this summer, and my gallery up there has offered me a solo show during the festival to capitalize on the publicity. Super cool! I absolutely adore the woman who owns this gallery and the gals who run it, and having a solo show there is a big honor to me. My solo show in Whitefish this past summer was pretty much ruined by covid (although I will say they still did a great job selling the work), so it will be exciting to have another one to look forward to this year! If I can leverage some ad space as part of my compensation for the music festival, I think it will be great exposure to a big $$ audience in Jackson.
My mom got her first vaccination this week through UC Health. Apparently my dad got the email to sign up for an appointment BEFORE her because he is over 75, but he ignored it for a fe[...]

Keeping At It
My new mantra is "Making a list is not doing" - i am really great at making lists but the most important thing is actually doing the things on my list. There's no reason why i haven't dealt with my bike shoes i bought that are two sizes too small. Yes, it's complicated to go to the bike store at the moment but putting it on my list and leaving it there doesn't get it done.
Was very impatient with Logan this morning. I realize 3 year olds (he is getting closer to 4) have no attention span but i really got annoyed with the not listening as i directed him to get dressed multiple times and he had to just look at this toy for a minute or fix one piece of Lego. We will definitely be working on Mommy not having to repeat herself over and over again. I imagine many tantrums from both of us.
Darren and i chatted about how it would be really awesome if this fall we could take a weekend away from the kids to basically do nothing. Sleep in. Laze about. Not cook. My parents will d[...]

Woke Sunday at 4am and couldn't fall back to sleep. Makes for a long day and had a headache for most of it so aside from a couple of dog walks - basically parked it in front of the tv and worked on knitting my ski sweater (hopeful I'll ski again at some point!). Recently finished reading Atwood's The Testaments so started to re-watch The Handmaid's Tale in anticipation of Season 4. So good. A bit more unnerving now to watch given everything that's been happening south of the border. I'm a huge Atwood fan - have read most - if not all of her fictional books and attended some public readings. She's got a great mind and makes me proud to be Canadian.

Enjoy the Journey
The sun FINALLY made an appearance and warmed things up. Yoga on the beach was wonderful -- tank top and shorts weather. Riding was nice too, although the trail was crazy crowded. Guessing between the MLK holiday and the nice weather, everyone was wanting to get some of the sunshine.

If the Fat Crazy Cat Lady Can ...
So tonight was 7th Christmas (I think. I've kind of lost count) It was pretty epic. Mutti and I agreed it was the best Christmas yet. She doesn't remember the ones before it but both of us still agree, and agree that we're right, so that's the important thing!
