Once the new race season rolls around (very soon), Setup Inc will wipe out the age group race results. In case you are totally OCD about age group race results like I am, here is a tip: Save the age group race results from the NCTS races from this year onto your local computer, so you can refer to them for next year's race strategy/planning. To save, visit the age group results page for the races you think you might want do next year...then do "File" / "Save Page As" and save it to your hard drive someplace.

If you don't do this, there is no way to sort this year's race results by age group next year.

I was just looking over the past three years of Duke 1/2 age group results (which are all saved on my hard drive!). Last year's times were way slower due to the heat. In a normal year, I would have to get better than 5:44 in order to podium at Duke. Not happening! I'll be thrilled if I can do sub 6 hours in that race.

I'm right there with you on the OCD. My problem is that when I'm at work and my mind drifts to my next race, I have a computer on my desk and just can't help but crunch some numbers.

You can go back to any year's overall results and export it to Excel (Right click/Export to Excel). Then in Excel, select all the columns and use Data/Filter/Auto Filter. Now using the dropdown menu in the age column you can do a custom filter to select your age range and then filter the next column to your category or blank if you're plain old age group.

Sometimes the times are formatted funny, but you can do a lot of crazy stats this way.

I never knew about that Export to excel feature. I don't see it in Firefox, but I do see it in Internet Explorer. Good tip!

I like the event history. Shows the variations from year to year.

You might need a title for the graph. Maybe I'm slow, but it took me awhile to figure out is was cumulative position in the race after each leg. I thought it was just a plot of the rank in each leg.
