For those that like to get down and dirty, i have signed up for this CX race on Sept 19th. It is in Rockyhill Ct, and will be my first and should be a hoot.  Let me know if anyone else is going to do the race!!!

Unfortunately, I will have to miss this one because the timing doesn't work out for me.
It sounds like it will be a fun race though.

Good luck!

You'll need to come to do one of the Verge series maybe Providence 2nd weekend of October so we can race the same course.

Providence is 1 week after my Half Iron. If i do come up it will probably only be for Sunday and I will do the Cat 4 or Cat 4 35+ race in the morning.  I am tentatively planning it right now, Let me get through the C4C race and i will start filling in the schedule!!!

I also just signed up for my USAC licence, lol .... CAT 5 Baby!!!

I am thinking less Tri's and maybe more bike races next year.......i dunno.....lets see how the baby and the winter go.....

See I'm already ahead I'm a cat 4

I race at 9:45 at Providence both Saturday and Sunday. Last year we had snow and omg it was so fun...huge run up and two runs on the beach...beer garden and fabulous course.

Very different training for most bike racing other than TTs compared to tris.

Cross vs. IM training is as opposite as possible...long steady zone 2 vs. hard, uneven, zone 5 riding for cross....but that is why I like it.

This year I'll probably suck at it with just wraping up IM and taking 4 weeks off the bike but no matter what it is a blast.

You know women start at 4s I just renewed my license today since I'm racing soon.

Have you seen this...

Also have you joined the necyclocross yahoo group Rudy?

I had a lot of email questions about the new Crossin' 4 Canines race
course so I took a lap of it with a bike cam and posted it on you tube.
The race is next Saturday on 9-19. We're 10 minutes south of Hartford
right off of I-91. This race is a 100% fundraiser to help build the
Rocky Hill Dog Park. Prizes are cash and or gift cards to major
retailers/restauran
ts such as L.L Bean, Dick's Sporting Goods, On the
Border Restaurant, Olive Garden and and others.

Next thing you know you'll start shaving your legs and talking about you "kit"

Get a jogging stroller, usually puts babies to sleep and you can get a run in and get brownie points with the wife.
