I had not checked the results before I posted the report....that'll learn me. I really didn't think I had won. My next race is Smith Mountain Lake.

Perfect day for a race, although that hill was terrible. Thing that got me, I thought the bike was 20K, not 25K. I was looking at my shirt the day after and realized it - no wonder those last 2 miles seemed like 5 - it was! That'll teach me not to look at the distances before I start the race....

First...I would like to apologize to ALL the swimmers. I never remembered what I put in as my time or what I was thinking...but it was all wrong. I let most of you pass me and took my medicine. Once out of the pool I was fine...and the race was great. And to the organizers...a simple ramp would have been nice on those stairs. Very cool running through the tunnel. I could have gone much faster during the run but I am doing the Half Ironman at Kinetic in two weeks so I wasn't there to set any records...just to get warmed up as it were. But I am SOOOO glad I will be wearing a wetsuit there. It is my crutch...I admit it. Two miles go by in the suit almost effortlessly and I can't really finish a 300 meter pool swim. Ah, well.

well if you are the person i think you are( the one that walked through the swim) I was actually defending you from other people on the deck.....thought you had a cramp or somthing. You were geting out of the way of everyone anyway so it was no big deal and besides that it is no big deal anyway its just for fun right? I will say that (if your that guy) your going to have real problems in a half iron race, I am doing the oly distance kinetic race and I know that swim is not so easy. If you havnt ever done an open water race I can tell you its night and day.
