Subject: Any reason to keep these (Cracked) wheels?

Entry level wheels, came with my Saber, rear rim cracked.  Any reason to hold onto these for any kind of parts or send them to the trash bin?

You could use it for truing/wheel building practice. I'd at least hang on to the hub.

I bet you could find a taker for the front on the "Pay it Forward" thread.

Possibly even the rear hub assuming it is somewhat serviceable

Would they be worthwhile as a trainer set of wheels? Don't much care if the front is cracked as long as it can hold the bike up and I don't believe the rear wheel would get near as much pressure put on it so cracked would still work out okay.
