I do the Jingle Bell 5k in Baltimore every year and it has become a tradition ...... I've placed or won in my AG each year (one year was the overall winner).

I'll have to check out the 10k ....... is it for the Arthritus Foundation as well?

But it also sounds like it is very close to the date for the Celtic Solstice 5 miler, which is also a tradition of mine .... hmmmmmmm.

I read somewhere the Celtic Solstice 5 miler is on the 20th although the website still has last's years date.  I did it last year and want to do it again.

Not to hijack Slake's thread, I LOVE the Celtic Solstice.

That being said, I'm doing the Jingle Bell. There is also one for MCRRC that day, but this jingle will have lots of BTers.  and a great post-race partay.

Cetlic Solstice is one of my favorites. It's December 20th this year.

Where is this Jingle Run of which you speak? My Decmber weekends are really filling up. I'm also doing the Metric Marathon in Columbia on 12/7.

After posting I realized why the 14th sounded booked ....... it is the weekend of the coaching clinic I want to take for the USATF certification.  If I do that, I'll be down in NC that weekend.

Its good the hear that the Solstice 5 is the 20th ... I've run in it the last 3 years and always look forward to it.

Not sure if this is the best site for it but I found this one that seems pretty comprehensive.

edited to add:  There are pictures from last years race and it depressed me!  Not because of the running but because everyone looked so cold.   Damn, winter is coming!

The Jingle All the Way 10K is in downtown DC (basically you run around Haine's Point and back). December 14th. It's got a race link on this site, with a link to the website for more details.
