Who are the world class running coaches in Atlanta - the ones that no one knows about?

Yes I know Matt Russ of Sport Factory but I'm looking for something else I think.

I'd like stride analysis with drills. Then I'd like for them to meet me a few times to coach me through some track workouts. So therefore, price has to be reasonable. I would not mind if this were a group thing.

Don't know anything about how he operates, but as long as I've been in the ATL he's had a very good reputation.  Perhaps he's too well-known, though, like Jeff Galloway.

I seem to remember something on Atlanta Track Club's website.  I didn't see it when I just glanced over there.  However, I suggest just contacting them asking for a list of coaches.  I am sure they have all the resources you need.

Back in my running days I used Roy Benson for over a year and really liked him.  Took 25 minutes off my marathon time in 6 months.  He has track workouts too one day a week at Marist with a really fast group of peeps - the ones that win lots of the races in the ATL.   He's not cheap - as I remember charges by the minute (even charged me for the call I made to him after I finished my marathon he coached me to) - but the track workouts were reasonable.

As for how he operates - his office is the Starbucks inside the perimeter off Ashford Dunwoody on Johnson Ferry Road!

For some reason BT doesn't like me trying to hyperlink stuff.  Just go to www.runningstrong.com

I've been working with Janet for over a year now and I've learned a lot about running.  She gives me a 4 week plan and then I email her updates throughout the week and she'll update my plan as I go along.  It is nice to get the unlimited contact with her for $85/month.  And she's local, too, so I met with her in the beginning to do a stride analysis.  Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

What makes you think you need gait analysis?  I've watched you run and you look fine.  I'm very reluctant to make big changes to my stride because it is too easy to get injured.  I have spent 35 years (first 2 I didn't run much) perfecting my running style and my body has adapted to it!

Just an idea. This winter, my priorities are 1) core work, 2) 10k and half mary speed and 3) increase FTP on bike. I'm thinking that 1 and 2 will help my running the most.

Maybe this winter we can get a group together to do track workouts.  We need the speed to break 42 mins in a 10k.
