Awesome 2008 season! Great video! Great team!

Some of us placed 1st, some of us did our 1st tri's. We are all age groups, skills, and sizes. What we do share is a camaraderie that leads each of us to success in achieving our personal goals. Bring on 2009!! Go Greyhounds!

Jen is definitely a star in the video-really a greyhound at heart. TrishM's daughter is in the video too (karma?)

Does this mean I am a bad mother? I was busy looking at the finishers and didn't notice my own kid!!! Leave it to her Neighbor Mom to spot her! :-)

LMAO - Trish and Jogo you crack me up!

I am at work and cannot view youtube - darn filters! - but I am so applying for 2009!  PS I LOVE Redline (princess).  Check it out - you can get them at GNC, $10 a 4 pack.  They enhance your mood, burn fat, and give you non-juttery energy.  LOVE IT.  Best of all - ZERO calories. NO sugar.

I really should work in marketing...

LOL, Redline.  Redline is an energy drink/supplment by VPX.  Redline comes in diffferent formulations, such as Redline, Redline Xtreeme, and Redline Princess.  Do not let the name fool ya - they are potent!  4oz servings... and you can take no more than 8oz in a day.

PLus, Redline Princess elevates your mood... sweet stuff!

I am getting into supplementation and strength training, ironic as I just started taking redline and love it already.  It is my pink happy drink!

I'm redfaced over redline.  Here is where my train of thought went- Redline bikes (you possibly had one you named princess) and then on to random thoughts of an energy drink.  I'm glad you clarified because I was obviously totally confused or having a senior moment.

Strength training, 1/2 marathon training, HIM training-You are my overachieving hero and hopefully future hound sister. (BTW, there is a duathlon that Kimm and I are doing on Oct 11, might be a good race after your 1/2 the week before...costumes are involved, intriqued?)

And I'm pretty sure Redline Bikes are the ones who are sponsors...not the drink.

Rock on, Greyhounds!!

It was great to meet you all! The training was fantastic, the camaraderie energizing, and the race support invaluable. This was my first season in the sport, and you guys played a huge role in showing me some of the tri ropes - like the open water swimming, where my first time was at ILRA and in great company (Jaclyn, Jo, Kim, Glen, Jenniferlyn...). Even though I wasn't a Greyhound, you all were a phenomenally welcoming bunch - and it was really cool to share this season's experiences with many of you.

2008 rocked, and 2009 should be even better. Will keep my eye out for the applications - maybe you guys will take me in as an "official" member.

Btw - the video got pulled from YouTube. Do you guys have it posted anywhere else? It would be great to check it out. Call it inspiration for post-season.

Jeff, we are SO going to get you to apply. It would be so great to have more testosterone on our tri team.

I have no idea what happened to the video. Hopefully someone with more computer savvy will be able to find it. Glen, Kimm, I'm talking to YOU.

Thanks for the kind words, Jeff.  I have to say, when Glen first told me about the new tri team I was hesitant.  God's honest truth, I could not be happier that I applied.  Sure, the discounts and stuff are nice, but having cool people to train with AND THEN having many, many other cool people to go do other stuff with was the highlight of a pretty crappy summer.  The really great part is if you're interested in other biking sports, there are so many people to get advice from, train with, laugh with, etc.  I even raced in my first time trial this summer!  Plus, the RACING GREYHOUNDS (make sure Daniel sees that) like to have some kind of fun when not racing (and even during races).  I encourage all to apply and help us build the tri team up for 2009!

Here is the new link to the video sans music.  Seems the other got pulled due to copyrighting on the soundtrack  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bSCEhHaNSxs

Kimm - The team environment you described lines up 100% with what I have been looking to find. Certainly from a training standpoint, cycling is my weakest event, and to be able to draw upon other's experiences and good vibes is key. Plus, I am *always* up for broadening my circle of folks who make life more enriching... and clearly, you guys are such a bunch.

I will keep an eye out for the application and put my name in the hat. 2009 should really be a phenomenal season!

Good luck to you and Jaclyn with the Blue Water Ramble! Let us know how you guys do.

Pax -
Jeff

BTW, I really dig the video - awesome job! Looking forward to making a cameo appearance in it alongside you guys next year
